honestly, I am in sort of the same situation regarding the passion-to-job thing/ had a similar experience or mindset. while I love what I do, I still need to recharge my different kind of batteries with other activities. A human has all kinds of needs and while it is good for a job to provide for some, it cannot replace other self care activities. Learning this lesson made me frustrated at first, but once I made peace with it, it sort of made my life even more colorful, due to the greater variety! It was good to hear that someone else also sort of had this kind of thinking about their job!

My current planner has turned out to just not be enough room. But I'm turning it into a health tracker because it is big enough for that. I sat down and redid my list of what I now need in a planner system and really wanted the take a note but its out of stock. So I have an a5 leather TN so I went on Canva and created my own monthly inserts that I can print monthly and change as I need for the next month. I print them out in booklet style on kokuyo paper and then sew them onto a pretty paper cover instead of stapling them. I'm optimistic. We will see how this goes. Good luck on your contentment journey. It's a struggle.

I love that you came up with creative solutions. If you model some of your inserts after the take a note you can test and see if it's a good fit for you next year (if you still want one then!) Wishing you planner peace ❤

I am in the same headspace with wanting a plotter. I’ve seen so many other ccs using it but can’t push myself bc it is an investment and I might not like it in the end. Also, love love the spring release from your shop 🤍

Yes! They make it look so appealing but we have to keep in mind that what may work for others might not work for us! Got to keep a clear head 😉 I think they have good resale value but all the same… it’s a big decision! And thank you so much! 🌷

I really enjoyed when you talked about printed/custom-made planners. I never liked notebooks because they are restrictive. Last year, I finally managed to reach planner peace with a personal-sized Filofax. Now I print my own inserts and only use monthly pages for anything time-related and daily pages for to-do lists. It works like magic.

Dang, I agree with using a planner you already bought, even if it doesn't work so well - it seems wasteful to just throw it away. Also I love having one planner, one notebook for one year of my life. After few years of bullet journaling I switched to a happy planner (I don't know why, I hate rings and coil lol - I guess I got influenced - happy planners make so pretty planner spreads on youtube :D). For this year I bought a passion planner. I thought it would work. I actually used to set up my weeklies like that in my bujo. I've lasted three months. I'm going back to my bullet journal (I still kept one for yearly collections anyway). I feel like I got my freedom back lol, and it's not even a week since I've switched. For now I'm journaling in my passion planner. It kinda works. I'll see if I be able to stick with it :)

No question, but I would love it if you discussed the decor process. I "get" text and a flower, but would never add a paint tube or brush... Do you work in "3's," color theme, why the Kraft circle/rectangle, etc.? (I like the rambling, your voice is pleasant and what you talk about sounds natural not scripted/forced.)

Like the separation of work and home... So many have 40 hour weeks and home/kids to contend with... works work.... But how do you contend with kids/home/self... in a planner... interested in seeing that.

Self care is such a funny thing for me, because I have a tendency to fixate on the thing. For example journaling, in the beginning it was soothing, then I started to overthink the layout, pen, the planner and everything. Same goes for reading, hair and gym. A weird question, but is that take a note cover the midori goat leather one? I've been thinking of getting it but would love to hear how you've liked it, as there isn"t that many reviews of it.

I totally get what you mean and I have perfectionistic tendencies around things like that too. Yup, you’re right! I love my Midori goat leather covers (I’ve got the A6 too). They’re quite thin and flimsy but once they’re on the notebook it feels quite nice. Might talk more about them in future videos.

I switched it out with a Jetstream refill! I prefer Jetstream over Uni but I love the Uni pen body. The FWP is called Beaver Dam Brown. :)
