You made a nice job of that, it is handy. I love playing with stitching machine can do, not a fancy machine but allows a bit creating. You done well reviewing the project and taking the initiative making personal changes to better it. The pic of Myles is adorable, allowed to roam free is so sweet, hugs to all the furs 💖

Thank you 😊 I do think it’s going to be a useful little thing. My machine if far from fancy and only has a few decorative stitches but I do like to use them when I can. It’s very much a utilitarian, starter machine designed mostly for garments, but I love it 🥰 I like your spelling of Myles, when he came to us he was part of a duo named Billy Ray and Miley, then they found out he was a boy so I changed it to Miles. It’s a longer story, maybe I’ll tell it in next months cat lady, but i got 2 cats confused when I picked up the 5 of them and all his paperwork calls gone Toulouse. So that makes for a fun time 😊

It's not your imagination - the projects in the photo do look a little sloppy. Taking your time with the pleating and making sure it went all the way to the top was a good call; it really made a positive difference. When you reviewed the box two weeks ago, I didn't think it would be the type of thing I would make or use; seeing how yours turned out, I'm a little more open to the idea. I could see it being useful when my partner & I are doing our facepaint for cosplay; put the rinse water in the cup, and the brushes can go wet-side-up in the pockets. It would help keep paint off the table, and (possibly, probably) reduce the number of times we exclaim, "I was *just* using the detail brush, where the heck did it go???" Of the three Sew What boxes you've reviewed, this one is the best. Looking forward to seeing the review of the Sewers Club finished project soon; that little wallet looked so intriguing!

I’m surprised that they don’t take the time to think through and revise their projects. It feels like they make one or two and call it done. Looking at the sample photo, it’s clear they just edited 2 of the same piece to make it look like different caddy’s. I know u make several practice runs before I decide to share anything with the world, be it for sake or as a tutorial. I think that may be why they have sloppy looking pleating and never baste anything in place. It could make a good brush holder, but you might have to make it a little taller. It would be washable and easy to store with your paints and brushes. You could even use a mason jar to help with the added height. I like this idea a lot.

Haven’t made it yet but appears very simple. These were very popular many years ago. I’m sure there are free patterns for it somewhere. Personally not feeling I’m getting value for price

I find out that the person who does the tutorial does not care about details . From photos you can tell samples are not sewn with precision , which that comes with experience and knowledge of sewing techniques
