In 1966 when I first heard this song, tears streamed down my cheeks because your sweet, gentle voice touched my soul and heart so deeply. I was then 17. In three weeks I will celebrate 73 years of a beautiful life and your amazing sweet, gentle voice touches my soul and heart in exactly the same way now as it did in 1966. Thank you Art Garfunkel.

Marilyn, it's great that you have had a 'beautiful life'. So many people are disappointed with their life's experience, so it's nice to hear that. I discovered Mr Garfunkel when I was 16 (back in 1975), and still listen to him. A voice like velvet.

He doesn't modify the song for the limitations of his voice at this age. He just goes for it, and does his best. I respect that a lot. I'm in my mid-70s and in my church choir. If anyone knows where Paul Simon lives, please go around to his house and wake him up out of his sleep and tell him the show has to go on. He can’t keep doing this forever. A whole new generation of new fans need to see what Simon & Garfunkel are about. He needs to come to his senses and be available and not just be doing solo shows because the great harmonies are not there when he sings alone.

It’s not just on Simon. Art is just as much to blame. Why would either of them sing together if they don’t get along? Art has made it clear that he won’t work with Paul again. Let it go.
