glad I could help, here are some more hints :) 1 - for wet surfaces you can set roughness to a low value or use clearcoat. for the scales you can increase metallic, or use a metallic map. 2 - you can override the draw function of a CanvasItem node and render the parts of your fish on top of each other with draw_texture(), with this you can also use modulate to color the texture. each part, like the stripes and fins would be a texture with alpha. 3 - I don't think I know enough fish to care, sorry :|

Cute project, I can't wait to see where it goes! :D From what I know, blending in "real fish" and "fake fish" gives a baseline "Oh I know what that is!" Makes people feel more at ease with magical and whimsical things :3 It's a really cool thing our brains do.

I've always liked the fishing part of games like Stardew Valley so this game really appeals to me. Looking forward to seeing how this develops. I like the idea of real fish (especially for less advanced/valuable fish) and then seeing fanciful/exotic fish (especially as the game progresses). I think anything that gives more fish and a good progression makes sense to me.

I do love a real fish in a fishing game, love seeing what the artist interpretation of a salmon is, or a sturgeon or whatever Pretty sure I don't know what these fish look like even but I've seen them in many games lmao EDIT: Love the concept for the story, "the fun part of mercury poisoning" lmfao

People will not care that you added fake fish. It adds character and more novelty to your game.

this is still one hell of a big project to manage xd i do want to make my own moba in godot but i have to figure out how to build skill trees have more then 1 map how the account lv up will work there are a lot of systems i have to figure out + the 3d optimization and to be not Buggie to my pen tablet for some odd reason only godot acts wired to my huion pen tablet only if i am in game mode or mouse mode then it acts normal
