Hah, great video! All jokes aside I love the Velious lore. It was the first expansion where I got into questing and reading the backstories of all the NPCs (somehow excluding the snow bunny ofc).

Sure! There isn't anything in my RPG books but this is what I found through reading quest logs. The waters are cursed, 'darkened' by Innoruuk who has set up base there. Prexus keeps trying to flood the caves and wash all of his Trolls out but Innoruuks influence is keeping him at bay. To quote the quest Healing Waters “As if the essence of Karana and Tunare have been shut out by the dark tide of Broken Skull.” Many Deepwater Knights (Prexus followers) have died finding Broken Skull Rock and attempting to purify its waters. The ore down in the Torgiran Mines has the ability to influence the mind, driving the slaves mining it insane, perhaps this is why Innorruk helped the Trolls set up here? The Luggald are a new species of creature created by Innoruuk to serve the Trolls, the Dark Elves don't like this and are trying to find a way to get the Luggald to serve them as well. The Luggald have been harming and harassing mermaids in their area with spears of ice, though they don't seem intent on killing them. Something in the Luggald system is acidic, and they can play dead well enough to fool necromancers. The robes of the Luggald gives them the same protection as heavy armor. The Luggalds are killing tiny elementals called flicks as sacrifices to Innoruuk. I think they have some physic ability but haven't confirmed. The broken skull clan has ink that enhances their combat capabilities. Pure speculation: Innoruuk isn't that good at creating races, he probably took a race that was already there and had evolved physic powers due to the properties of the ore around them and twisted them into servants. Guessing the Luggalds don't kill mermaids because Innoruuk doesn't want a full on war with Prexus. The Luggald may be mentally influencing the Pirates of Guntak.
