I have Little House on the Prairie on my TBR list too. I've read the first two in the series (last year) and I have two more after this in my set. I also read them earlier in life so this is a reread for me as well. I also don't have a definite Historathon book for this quarter.
@bookstalgic6 ай бұрын
Thanks for letting me know that you’re also rereading the Little House on the Prairie series, too! I tried to read the first one with my daughter, but she wasn’t interested. I ended up finding a book about women in the Medieval ages from the library so I think I’ll try that one. I hope you find one to try as well for Historathon. :)

It took me over a year to finish the ocean at the end of the lane because I would play the audiobook read by the author and his voice would put me straight to sleep! I forced myself to read it/listen during daylight hours. I liked the night circus but I didn’t love the main characters. There was a side character named Bailey I think and his story was the one I kept wanting to learn more about. I have always wanted to read His Dark Materials. Never seen any movies/tv shows on it just to avoid spoilers.
@bookstalgic6 ай бұрын
The His Dark Materials books are so good! I started watching the HBO Max adaptation show and it’s actually pretty good so far. I love how they depict the animals. I’ve heard some mixed reviews of the Night Circus so I hope I like it! Too funny about your audio experience with The Ocean at the End of the Lane. Maybe I should avoid getting the audio for that! 😴 I have definitely felt that way with other audiobooks!

You're the 3rd person I've watched who has I am Legend on their April TBR. Must be something in the air (not a vampire virus). It's a fun read for sure. Reread Sorcerer's Stone for the 1st time in 23 years and had not planned on rereading Chamber of Secrets till the fall but I might change that during the summer.

My April is essentially an 'Anything Goes' theme. ;p 'The Ocean at the End of the Lane' is so good!! Although, if you want more Gaiman, I have to recommend 'Stardust' as my favorite. :) It has been years since I read 'The Night Circus,' but I loved it when I read it. You actually have a bunch of books I have read previously and enjoyed, so, you have a good month of reads ahead! :) My list for April is...ambitious to say the least. :p

I should finish Ulysses and The Divine Comedy in the next week or so, and then I'll be rereading the Gormenghast Trilogy and Paradise Lost. A few other details would follow, but I'd rather not dive into them right now. Enjoyed the video!

“Really in the mood to mood read” Haha! I understand that! Awesome list btw, really hope all goes well in the way of your reading this month :)) I’m attempting to read Carl Sandburg’s one-volume biography of Lincoln, and Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe. If I can squeeze it in, and I doubt I will be able to, then I’d like to read “Swann’s Way” by Marcel Proust (Vol. 1/6 of his ‘In Search of Lost Time’ novel).
