Thanks for this! We will have to chat about anything you might want to share this year with me again and vice versa. Your video also helped me ID my obedient plant from last year, I wasn't sure if it was that or a weed! I was worried it didn't come back, but mine looks like yours so I am glad for it, it's so pretty!

Absolutely! I have some seedlings sprouting too to consider! I'm glad my little video helped identify a plant to keep - that's the whole idea of these videos: to help folks know what to expect for these plants at all times of the year - so glad it's helping! 💚

Wow, nice to see all of your plants poking through this Spring. Unfortunately we woke up to a bed of snow across our yard and garden here in Minnesota. Hopefully it will melt quickly and not do any damage to our plants that are starting out.

I am having the exact same wish this moment! There is snow falling on all of these newbies! I'm especially worried about some of the seeds I started (too soon)! Time to be "that person" and cover them with a blanket!!! Good luck to you and your plant babies! 💚

Thanks for watching! It's always nice to see how things emerge in the spring - and to know what's what so we don't accidentally "clean up" new baby plants that you actually want!!

Thanks for sharing your garden! This is my first spring with many native plants I planted last year. It is great to know what to expect this time of year.

I love spotted beebalm! It draws in a lot of unusual pollinators like Mountain Mint does.

Really exciting to see some green popping up! I felt like winter stretched on forever this year.

Agreed! And right at this minute, it's snowing, so fingers crossed these signs of life can hold on!!!

I'm late to the party! Whoops! But I'm glad to see this video. I enjoy these tours a lot and it is helping me plan things and to worry less about things like butterfly milkweed not sprouting yet lol. There are so many shrubs and trees I want but our property isn't big enough to accommodate them all! Still have 2 Norway maples to get rid of eventually but even then I'm not sure. I have paw paw seeds still snoozing in the fridge but no idea if they will actually germinate.. We'll see! You should come down to Strathroy and poke around my yard and tell me what you'd plant 😅. I winter sowed about 25 different types of seeds and some are starting to show signs of life now! And the things I planted last year are coming up, like my foxglove beardtongue that has a ton of new leaves, spotted bee balm, field pussy toes (it only grew one toe so far but it was barely two shriveled leaves when I planted it in August so I'll take it!), my pasque flower had lots of beautiful blooms (whether it's native depends on what site or book you look at.. I'm choosing to believe it is!), even the purple love grass has itty bitty green bits poking up. Hoping to find some bearberry and Kalm's St. John's Wort this year.

It sounds like you have quite a beautiful collection already and lots more on the way! It's so exciting! I am hoping many of my native plant babies will fill in and look a little less spindly this year!! It takes time, but it is definitely worth it! I'm so glad my tours are helpful to you - that's the idea: to show how all these plants are growing to help know what to expect throughout the whole year, not only when the plants are in bloom. So glad they helped you - even just a little bit! Happy spring and good luck to all your new plant babies!! 💚
