Erica's ability to talk to the camera with a very conversational style and without a script is great. My wife thinks she would be perfect as a young presenter on Gardeners World or what about a radio d. j. ? All this gardening presentation and looking after a young family at the same time takes special talent!

Yes Erica the weather has been awful, I’m in North Cornwall but I have been able to move all my Chillies Tomatoes and Peppers into the greenhouse about a week ago and they’re doing fine in spite of cool night time temperatures, even my squash and cucumber plants are growing strong, so there is hope by the start of May it is hopefully getting warmer, so looking forward to seeing what you’re doing outside , it’s so nice to watch your videos because you speak right at us as if we were there with you.

@@ericaslittlewelshgarden yes no lie! They say the reservoirs are low for this time of year!! Yet we haven’t had a week without rain. Could be that so much farm land has been built on the population has tripled in 5 years.

Hi Erica , Thank you for your update , everything is so slow this year, still so cold and wet , I live in Carmarthenshire. Have peas in poly tunnel not as advanced as yours, still have purple sprouting broccoli and asparagus that I am harvesting now. I just added 9 more asparagus crown’s yesterday. Have early potatoes in polytunnel too. Had a disaster potting up my cucumbers yesterday, didn’t realise how sensitive they are ! they have transplant shock and just wilted , some seem to be bouncing back. But I too had to bring in some seed trays to my prop gator in the house to try and get some seeds germinating as it’s so cold.!

Hi Erica love watching you ad you are so real. Your poly and greenhouse are doing amazing. Can’t wait to see the woodland and the new surprise area. I am using my poly as a place that’s warm and dry to sow seeds and prick out they are also on a table and shelving. In the geeenhouse I also have staging with lots of pots and trays with seeds and seedlings. I have however got lots coming on on the plot outside. Carrots and parsnips and beetroot are all up. My early spuds are thru and now covered in straw as we getting frosts tonight and for rest of week I believe. We still eating some overwintered brassicas and onions and garlic also doing well. It’s very very cold for this time of year and very wet. One good thing our water butts are full in case it’s a very hot summer. We complain it’s raining and freezing cold soo I expect we will be complying it’s too hot🤣anyway take care I will look out for your next video👍🙋🏻

Weather in Kentucky, USA is rubbish as well. It is so chaotic and I don't have much hope for my garden this year. Frankly, it's so depressing to see seedlings start to die off with no hope of being able to plant them out or pot them up. Due to health issues, this is most likely my last garden. I'm sure I will be able to find something to replace the garden to keep me busy, but it definitely will not be the same. I can substitute my pleasure with your garden.

I had to bail water out of my big tub again. It drains well enough in normal weather. Not holding much hope for my poor tomatoes. I have a dog violet in one of my pots though,so that cheered me up a bit. The French make soup out of sorrel. Maybe an idea for larger leaves.

Digging animal.... Are there weasels and/or mink in your area? If it's sunny the entire summer, it won't be great. Remember the heat of last year? We just need to roll with what nature gives us.

Sadly the history of strawberry varieties is very patchy or has been lost in time. The Elsanta you are growing is from 1975 and is a cross between a 1955 Dutch variety Gorella and a 1965 American variety Holiday.
