friendly recommendation: if you're going to use burton grip, I would wrap the mallet shafts in grip tape, or be sure your back three fingers are always applying the right amount of pressure, in order to get rid of those pesky "stick clicks". otherwise, nice recording!

@albuspercivalwulfricbriand26047 жыл бұрын

@jademartin15427 жыл бұрын
Actually she is using a grip called traditional grip, it was the first 4 mallet grip created and it differs from burton in the way that the mallets are split and the way they are stacked, if you want to look at specifics, here is a link, www.uh.edu/~tkoozin/projects/WanHwaLow/Overview.html
@tmossperc27167 жыл бұрын
No that's definitely Burton. You can see it pretty clearly in her hand at 1:40
@daltonstanley38997 жыл бұрын
definitely burton's
@maplemilktea81187 жыл бұрын
I think she is using traditional because her outer mallet is coming out of in-between her middle finger and pointer, where as Burton comes out of her ring and middle.

rhineheart of the abyss she is using a lot of forearm... to fix this i would practice using only your wrist and try to sound as best as possible. Forearm is used to move around the board but you should use your wrist rotation to actually hit the mallet. If you ever study Stevens grip this is even more important
