Of course I voted for Alan Hollinghurst in your poll just now ☑️. I read all his novels and loved most of them (although the early ones up to the excellent The Line of Beauty 👌🏻 are his best imo). The Folding Star is a favorite of mine.

Hi Jack! ☺ I'm crossing my fingers that all your 5-star predictions will come true and you'll have a brilliant reading month! There's been no 5-star for me so far, so I hope I'll also soon get to a book that will blow my mind and leave me knocked out on the floor (spiritually, maybe also physically) 😂 Personally, I think it's alright if you put the unchosen books back in! Sometimes a good book loses to a strong contender, but it still deserves a chance to be picked in another round. I actually screamed yeeesss out loud!!! 🎉I'm going to be completely biased and vote for My Cat Yugoslavia. 😅 If it gets picked, I've a feeling it's going to be amazing, like really weird but amazing.

Came for the tbr, stayed for the chaos, because I loved it. Of course you should put the books that didn't win back into the jar. I vote for My Cat Yugoslavia. I've heard it's good, but weird. Have you read In the Absence of Man by Philippe Besson? If not, I would like to put it into the jar.
