April the Giraffe Best Jordan Patch talk Tajiri Steals the Show

ON 9/8/18 I took this video of Jordan Patch's giraffe talk at his Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville, NY. The unique thing about this video is how Tajiri stole Jordan's thunder by all his "zoomies", kick ups and yoga poses next to Jordan midway, HILARIOUS! If you love giraffes, you will love this video! I really fell in love with sweet April, and so did my little grand daughter. We were among the millions who watch Taj be born that saturday morning. I just can’t get invested in Johari, no matter how hard I try. But I still love Taj very much. I like the new little guy too. Azizi was at a place within reasonable driving distance from me and I was planning to go see him, until his death. But, if I am ever on the east coast, I will for sure go to visit Taj. I think he will always be our “little boy” no matter how old he gets....

So sad to see this video of April. I am so sorry for your loss. She was a beautiful giraffe!! I remember when she gave birth to Tajiri and Azizi. I can't believe that she is gone. I know the park had to do the right thing for April. It's so sad when a beloved animal passes away. I know that feeling very well. We had to do the same thing with our beloved family dog. She had arthritis in her back legs, too. It was very difficult for to stand up and eat her food and drink her water. So, we had to make the heart-wrenching decision to euthanize her. We had to do what was right for our beloved family dog. So, I know what Animal Adventure Park is going through right now. My condolences to everyone at the park. May April and her son, Azizi, rest in peace. ;(

cool i was there july 31st saw and loved all the animals but didn't see anyone important especially not jorden. family lives in jersey and they rented a home in the catskills it was almost a 2 hour drive - i did see the birth of TAJ and was delighted to be a part of watching all these years. good great and awesome!

I LOVE giraffes! Oh, wow, I saw a heart on April's left side and just learned that is part of the pattern! I look forward to the day when animals will not be fearful of people or have to be food for anyone. Thanks for sharing. 💅Pedicure for April minus the polish of course. Great video! Jordan summed up info about the giraffes in just a little over 30 minutes..Nice! I surely will miss Taj. It sucks that he has to go, but rather he go and mate on his own than to "neck" with his sibling. Lol! I hope they just keep us updated on Taj's maturing progress and of course when he does have a little Rafe of his own. I'm sure Momma April would be proud!

While they are definitely endangered there are approximately 100,000 in Africa and about 2,000 in the US. Poachers and trophy hunters could care less and unfortunately giraffes are confined to small areas like this for life.
