Amazing Tim, not only for the amount of money you were able to make this month, but because of the mental process of the trades you took, and also cutting losses quick. I am glad you talk about not letting the losses run and get bigger than the winners. I struggled this month with this and my losses were bigger than my winners. I will focus on this moving forward. Thanks man for posting recaps like this.

Tim your awesome man. I have a really small account and im trying to grow it and im learning at the same time so I do have plenty of losses to start out. Not any huge losses I try to ingrain in my head cut losses quickly and I do win but I feel very discouraged when I do lose. But when I watched this video it kind of lifted me back up. Your videos do mean something so please don't stop making them and I love the monthly recaps. Great job this month and great motivation going forward

Yes I'd go with das because at any other paper trading site the data has a 20 minute delay which you can cheat my looking up the price on Google lol

Tim I have been making spreadsheets in excel for all stocks up 15 - 40% it helps so much being able to look at the probability and I have found my pattern with big earnings and investment news ending near highs, then squeezing on the second day. Thank you so much for your videos mate I am consistently winning now!

Awesome job Tim! This month had a lot of good low float plays (surprisingly considering that it's earnings season). I was following your profit.ly uploads on twitter and saw that you pretty much nailed every since big low float play. I missed the boat trying to play mid-large caps (Earnings and M&A's).

Interesting to hear your thoughts on setting your SL and not wanting MM's to see it, that is a common problem in the 4X market. IMO managing the trade and exiting for profit is the hardest part of trading.

Hey Tim! Congrats on April. Keep those recaps coming. 2 quick questions: 1) you said you might consider going over some of your biggest wins as well during the recaps, any thoughts on that? 2) You did it back on the January recap i think, but do you mind continuing to show your most profitable setups win % each recap again? Back then it was your Bounce short and Overextended Gap down strategies that took the cake (70% win ratio), and I'm curious to see how each strategy's profitability evolves over time. Looking forward to your reply. thanks.

+Team3DMathematics 1. I'll try to start including a couple of these in each recap! 2. I just stopped tracking these in the last few days actually, I haven't decided if I want to get back to it in May or not, but if I do I'll update next month!

Tim, hi. Quick question. I really hope that you will answer to this question. Please can you let me know if you keep all your gains piling up in your brokerage account, or do you withdraw funds on a periodical basis?? thanks.
@kroyrunner89
@kroyrunner89 4 жыл бұрын
Early in my career I'd withdraw to pay tax estimates every quarter. I also have had times where I've opened additional accounts at other brokers for more locate options. But yeah I'll withdraw sometimes if the amount in account is too high

Hey Tim. Thanks for the video. I am still not able to successfully trade with Level 2's. There seems to be so much in fakeouts with the asked gets stacked and all of a sudden it whipsaws to the bid which litterly scares me into entering a position. Any advice with this?
@kroyrunner89
@kroyrunner89 8 жыл бұрын
+singhizhem sounds like you're too focused on it. it's really only useful for me with volatile, liquid otcs. for listed stocks, i'm maybe keeping an eye out for large bids/offers, but aside from that 90% of my decision making is chart-based. hope this helps!

@kroyrunner89
@kroyrunner89 8 жыл бұрын
+TheGrandMgM you're right about what i scan for. unfortunately, the OTC market is total garbage compared to what it once was. the days of blatant promotions appear to be ending, as the top current promoter "finestpennystocks" just had their second pump in a row halted. if it's a blatant promo, i would NEVER hold long overnight at this point. there are still other otc opportunities, but they are much rarer than they used to be. so that's why my main focus is nasdaqs now
@TheGrandMgM

@TheGrandMgM

+Tim Grittani And why do there need to be promotions for OTCs, why not just find a good otc chart, or are the good charts much rarer too. man I really wanted to trade OTC :/

@AlexPrimus 8 жыл бұрын
Hey Tim, congrats on your success... As for the comment you made about not wanting to put stops because you are afraid others see it and gun for the stops - there's a way to have stops orders don't go to the broker. You can have someone make a program that will save your stop-loss values and then will then send it to the broker using their API once its been triggered. You can setup the program on a reliable hosted machine (i.e. a dedicated VPS). Also, I believe some brokers already have hidden stops order. They basically keep the order on their servers and send it to market once its about to be triggered.
@kroyrunner89
@kroyrunner89 8 жыл бұрын
that's very interesting - thanks! i'm going to have to look into that a bit more and see what i can learn

Tim Grittani You're welcome... I suggest a site like "freelancer" to get experienced coders to bid on your custom projects. It'll keep the price down and the cost of coding a few simple projects will literally be paid for in 1 trade. When you look at it that way there's no down-side (an arbitrage trade of sorts). All the best to you...
