April Wine really had that classic, warm rock sound combined with melody , excellent musicianship and great live performance nailed when they were at their best !

I listened to April Wine about as much as any other great band as teenager in the 80's. Goodwin is as much of a guitar god as any if you as me.

Yet another example of how much Myles and the boys totally kickass! I've seen April Wine 27 times and they have never let me down. This is one of the few bands I can listen to where you just put the album on and let the entire things play. I play in a cover band and we always cover a couple of tunes from them wherever we play. From the first time I heard April Wine on Harder... Faster...in my friends car I have been jamming them loudly. They did a simulcast show of the Nature of the Beast where they broadcast live on both T.V. and radio and I have listened to it for 30 some years and I've never tired of it. I'm babbling now so I have to split but April Wine rocks like a fine wine and gets better for me as time passes. Thanks ....peace/out

Great rock and roll. Jerry Mercer is a seriously under rated drummer and the entire band gets too little recognition as a great rock band.

They write such great songs, well Myles. The whole band are such amazing musicians. Criminally underrated band in anywhere other than Canada. USA should have given these guys more of a shot. I mean alot of rocker fans in USA know all about April Wine's music and actually gave it a shot

@@Stewieboy1995 I still don't quite understand why April Wine didn't make it on the world stage like Rush. Same thing for Triumph. I still listen to them 30 years later on a regular basis. Grew up with it and love it.

A lot of talent...songwriting, awesome drummer, 3 guitars, everyone could basically write, sing, and play guitar(or drums) at any time...when Brian Greenway came on board they really kicked some ass...then came "harder faster" and "nature of the beast"....they had a lot of member changes outside of myles, he was there almost from the beginning and the genius behind the writing mostly as far as I understand but something magical happened when Jesse and Brian came into the mix...not sure what Brian did writing wise but he was an unreal guitarist and vocalist...as you can clearly see when you watch the video for "before the dawn" where he's lead vocals and guitar...for there greatest song ever...imo.

Brian's background vocals really cut through the mix on this version. The band really got some balls when he joined. There were a few rockers like Shot Down and I Can You Hear You Callin Me", but until Brian joined they just didn't seem to know who they were. When "First Glace" came out and they did "Roller" and "Get Ready for Love", it was clear that they found the missing piece. Mr. Brian Greenway
