Good summary of Here I Am. I wanted to like it a lot more than I did. You could see his talent and skill with words, but there was just too much that didn't live up to expectations and his abilities that I am really curious about what he wil write next and where he will go.

exactly, I also wanted to like it more than I did. I think I read somewhere that his next published work is nonfiction about the environment. I'm not sure if I'll pick it up yet? maybe wait for another novel.
