I think you can blame Nashville for that. He had a real good tilt at it when he released House Rules only to be told actors were not singers by the powers that be in Nashville according to what I read. Interesting because there seem to be no prejudices the other way around with many singers happy to become actors - most recently look at Faith Hill snd Tim McGraw starring in 1883, both top country singing stars! ...... hmmm. Sad.

Router has it Nashville doesn't like Actors that try to be in the Country Music Industry and turned a cold shoulder. Funny how it works fine the otherway around, ie most recently 1883 where the two leads in that very popular series were both Country singers who turned actors!

Try to get hold of Kane his first album. He wrote all the songs and music on it. A little more hokey/southern country than House Rules but I actually like it more as it seems more him and fun and less slick than House Rules (which I still like very much and play both often) 😀
