The salce salce haunting refrain of desdemona has always been a favorite piece of mine. From the fully masterful mature pen of Verdi, an astounding stream of conscious" barely an hour or so before her death.
Shakespeare would have loved this one too. The theater was so very quiet and until they erupted at the end, I was in another world.
