Hi Dean, how are you doing mate? Have you ever removed the lugs from the RS4 125 stanchions, I need to re-chrome my stanchions but not sure they can be removed...?
@BigBoyzToyz1974 Жыл бұрын
They can be removed but an absolute pain take the bolt out the bottom add some heat and put the lug in a vise...

Hi, I have just changed the fork seals on my 2018 aprilia tuono 125, but now 1 is correct but the other is bottoming out when I press down on it. I noticed that the forks were not identical inside when you look into the stanchion, should they be the same internally? They are the same forks as in the video above. Any ideas what could cause it?
@BigBoyzToyz19742 жыл бұрын
It’s fine that’s how they are setup. One is preload (the one with the spring) the other is rebound how quickly they return to original position. 👍
@paulhinchliffe83162 жыл бұрын
ok, thanks for that, I will put them back on now. Regards.

Thanks! I hade the same problem: epoxy doesn't work. I event tried 'steel epoxy'. I hope super glue will do the job!
@BigBoyzToyz19743 жыл бұрын
Superglue definitely works It’s still going strong now it was misting after I did it and thought it had gone bad but after a week it has been great ever since 👍👍

Hello mate I went over a speed bump on my rs4 today and herd a bang sound come from my fork /forks do you have any idea what it could be mate
@BigBoyzToyz19743 жыл бұрын
They do that if you hit a speed bump to fast as only one fork has a spring so can’t take big impact like speed humps at 20mph it will be fine

Hi mate, I am doing exactly the same forks, but when I have removed the outer tube them I just made a notice that it hasnt have a spring inside? One fork leg has a long spring but other one hasnt? I bought motorbike from second hand. Is it possible that previous owner removed spring?
@BigBoyzToyz19742 жыл бұрын
No mate it’s perfectly normal the Aprilia has had this setup since the 2 stroke rs125 days. One leg does compression (spring) the other is rebound (stops it shooting back up) no spring helps to save weight 👍👍

Hello again! So my Aprilia RS4’s main aluminium frame has several visible scratches on it. What’s the best way to remove the visible scratches on the frame, without “polishing it” (because I don’t want the frame to become “shiny”... any tips mate?
@BigBoyzToyz19744 жыл бұрын
Hello Alex is your frame the same as mine a grey looking frame..? If so I would go for the Hammerite smooth silver..get some brown paper and mask off all the engine and areas surrounding and spray the Hammerite over the frame in all visible areas it should be fine or if you can source some frame protectors they would cover them 👍

Sorry for all the questions sir, but I’d like to know how reliable the RS4’s engine is once it gets to high revs. I was thinking, if I have to go on the highway, at around 9000 rpms on the last gear, would it damage the bike, or would it be alright to stay at around 9k rpms for an extended period of time? Thanks!
@BigBoyzToyz19744 жыл бұрын
It would be fine at 9krpm for prolonged periods engine wise but it would be tiring to your body it would sit at 60mph which would be about 7-8krpm and be smooth as silk after doing my forks my bike is so much smoother absorbing the engine vibration 👍

What is the quantity of oil per fork, is it the same quantity in both?

360ml +/- 5ml 👍

Thanks, On my 2013 rs4 125 there is a spring in the fork on the brake side but not in the other is this normal?
@BigBoyzToyz19743 жыл бұрын
@@26600clem yes that’s the way these forks are setup. One is preload and compression (spring side) other is rebound ( how quick your forks come back up to original position) stops it having a pogo effect 👍

Thank you for your answer, it really helps me, I thought there are some parts missing inside 🤦♂️

I would use a cloth under the screwdriver to avoid hurting the forks
