Aprilia's NEW 2025 RS-GP: Is It Really a Ducati Killer?

Aprilia started off the 2025 MotoGP season with a special launch event at Sky's studios in Milan last week. Jorge Martin and Marco Bezzecchi showed up in Aprilia uniforms for the first time at the event, and the new technical director, Fabiano Sterlacchini, was there too.
They also showed off the latest version of its MotoGP bike on stage, and the whole thing was broadcast live around the world.The RS-GP25 wasn't hidden from view after its introduction, which was pretty rare. Instead, Aprilia gave the visitors there a rare opportunity to photograph every detail of the bike.
The 2025-spec RS-GP isn't exactly new, as the bike was already seen in
public at the Barcelona test in November.Both reigning champion Martin and three-time grand prix winner Bezzecchi got to try out the new Aprilia bike for the first time in the official Dorna test, and their feedback made it clear that the bike is way better than the version ridden by Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales last season.
The two bike frames shown at the Milan launch last Thursday are going to be used in the 2025 season.During the winter break, Aprilia made some updates, and the bike on display in Italy looked different from the one tested by Martin and Bezzecchi in Barcelona more than two months ago.

watch out for the beast, martin, marquez and alex marquez will also be fast peco, this is going to be a crazy year and if miller gets the real support watch out for him also, franky will show on podium a few times also and fabio,giantonio, this year will not favor the cleanest rider but the toughest with elbows out and fighting like Marq

Unlikely that riders young or older have any opinion on aerodynamics beyond Will it go faster for less effort? The tail fins look sharp and, being made of carbon fibre, strong. So hazardous to the rider during a crash. Hope they have kevlar mesh in their race suits.

GP25 is a whole new bike from Ducati, very powerful than the GP24 which was just an upgrade of GP23, GP25 will create more fun for Ducati & less fun for other manufactures

Can´t wait for the rules change to restrict aerodynamics in 2026, they can´t come soon enough! All it does is making overtaking harder and slip streams more dangerous for riders during braking.

Actually the real tyre pressures are more to do with less overtaking. Plus Yamaha and Honda being too slow in acceleration. 2026 new improved rear tyre will mean more overtaking. Plus by then Sterlacchini and Albesiano will have made the Yamaha & Honda bikes more competitive.

@@C--A How could tire pressure make overtaking harder lol?! Even more so since they all have the same tires?! No, the more downforce a bike/car creates with wings and stuff, the more drag they create behind them, aka dirty air. That makes the aerodynamics for the bike behind less effective. And that means the bike behind can´t brake as efficient. We saw it multiple times where the following bike could barely slow down when right in the slip stream, nearly crashing into the guy in front at damn high speeds.
