Aprilia SR GT 125 : It's Tail Tidy Time !

Tail Tidy Time !! Removing and replacing the stock number plate holder.

Having recently messaging aprilia and piaggio. The tail tidy isn't a genuine one. Which voids warranty. But aprilia are in development for a tail tidy for the sr gt. Carbon fiber mudguards etc. Thanks for the video. I was going to get a similar tailtidy to this one until I had the message from aprilia.

@@scottishzoomer I want to change the number plate higher but I’m abit dubious to do it as I’m not to good with electrics. But defo going for the higher number plate looks so much better

@@maxcook7402 there’s really nothing to the electrics, it’s only two wires so you can’t really go wrong. There is actually no legal requirement in the UK to have a numberplate light so you could just do away with it altogether. There is an MOT requirement for a rear reflector (although it would be a pretty picky inspector to fail you on it) but as I don’t need an MOT until 2025 I’ll fit one nearer the time 😉

Great informative video ....Wait till it rains - water will spray up your back like there's no tomorrow ... The original number plate mounting (IMHO) look good (a la Ducati Scrambler) and keeps water spraying up yer back ....

A rear reflector is a legal requirement in the UK. I once owned a Mash motorcycle that had a couple of round stick on ones in the bottom corners of the number plate. Apparently they came in the the country to with out any and had to be added for type approval

Do you think i could put some footpegs both side of the motorcycle? Maybe welding it or just sticking it to the bodywork

Well there are already passenger footpegs, the angular nature of the plastic panelling might make attaching extra footpegs tricky but nothings impossible.

It specifically tells you in the manual that you get with the scooter. But anyway. Look for oil filter for piaggio medley 125 euro 5. The aprilia has the piaggio medley engine. Youll also need to the o ring and seal aswell
