I have also opened my fork, I notice that on my right side this phone ring is missing in the groove as seen in the video at 05:20 I only have this ring on the left side. Is that ok or is there a ring on each side?

Hello, this should be in each side. The innear parts in both side are the same. You can buy this ring at the local bearing shop.

Hello, than try with an air powered impact wrench, it is sometimes better for this work, just try it. If not works, you can hold the inner part with some kind of tool from the opened side.

No need to remove the top bolt. Only unscrew the lower unbraco bolt, then you can easily remove the forks from the tubes.
