I am self taught with sewing and can make some simple aprons, blankets etc . I have just started to watch KZbin videos to improve on my skills. I have learned so much from this video, thank you for posting. I’m working on some holiday aprons to give as gifts, this will make them look nicer and i believe make them much easier to sew. Yes, go for it :) you saw my daughter in the picture, she is 2. And the apron pretty much covers her, for your son you might want to just add and extra 1" or 2" at all sides, so that you get more wear out of it for him! Have fun sewing!

Leslie, my grandmother put an apron on every day, and always had a handkerchief in the pocket. It didnt come off until end of the day, or ifshe went to town or church. She had different kinds, but preferred a simple tie at the waist, with 2 pockets. She made them all herself.

Nice project, thank you. I think I'm going to use straight fabric strips for the ties, because I dont want the stretch and also it will be fabric saving to cut them down the edge. I will do the curve with bias strips, though. Thank you again!

All measurements are given. If they are too small - pause the screen and enlarge the percentage of your browser. If you can't do that - then pause the screen, take a screenshot and enlarge it on your phone. I do that all the time with different things when I browse internet.

I just checked to be sure, and I can see the measurements in the chart on my small phone screen without a problem!
