hi kpomo!im back...even the situation in france...so,im in trouble... to find the instep....you have two methods....not the same result....the drawing pattern is different.whitch one for the derby boots i have to chose

Hi @RichardJeanclaudeconvenant . Nice to have you back here. Hope France's situation is improving. For instep, I consistently use 1/4 (that is a quarter) of the last length measured upwards from the vamp point. However note that for this kind of shoe (loafers) you don't have to start the facing of the shoe from the instep. Where you start is dependent on your personal taste as a designer. For me, I like to start about 1cm to 1.5cm below the instep for men shoes, and 2cm to 2.5cm below the instep for women shoes. Let me know if this explains your inquiry.
