I remember so well bringing my children to the candy shop to mix and match and spend time simply looking at all the pretty colors. My daughter’s coin purse was gifted to her. Watching your daughter use hers was such a sweet memory. I appreciate your excellent videography. Ooooh! That video was so charming and your girls so adorable!!! I LOVED that sweets shoppe! You have such a lovely way of baking and I adore your cottage home...and lifestyle! I also love to bake. My husband had a mother who never cooked or baked...with 2 sons and a husband! They lived on sandwiches they made themselves and opening a can of soup each night...crazy, to my way of thinking! I was raised in a large family and my mother and grandmother were cooking and baking every day, all their lives! I started learning cooking and baking skills at age six. I was oldest girl, so when my mother was feeling under weather while pregnant AGAIN... or when she had cancer when I was 15 years old, I took on all meals, plus household laundry, upkeep etc. My grandma "Mamo" was a superb cook and baker...one of 13 children! Her son loved to bake and owned 5 bakery's at one time. He made BEAUTIFUL wedding cakes...much in demand! So...when I was a newlywed and setting up house...my hubby was SO TOUCHED AND HAPPY to learn my genuine love of cooking and baking. He would tell me stories of how the men he worked with could smell his home-cooked lunch warming in microwave and they would beg him for "just a taste..lol!" When I baked, each week, he would take a whole basket to "tempt and share" with his buddies at his factory job. Once, I held a surprise birthday party for my hubby...and all those guys and wives came to eat and celebrate...even though we lived an hour from his workplace. There wasnt a crumb or jab of leftovers at end of party. lol! So, watching you baking and sharing fun with your girls...brought so many precious memories back for me. Thank you for such a wonderful video!

Your husband was a lucky man! I grew up in Louisiana and my mother and her sisters and my grandmothers always spoke in the language of food and recipes. Every conversation was seasoned with “what did you have for lunch?” Or “what are you cooking for dinner?” Or “Can I get that recipe from you?” I inherited a huge collection of cook books and also notebooks filled with handwritten recipe, some that even belonged to my great-grandmother. What a treasure! Thanks for bringing all those memories to mind and for sharing yours. 💝

What a pity - another lovely creator being inadvertently co-opted by the alt-right. Content that includes two lovely girls who should and hopefully will have a world of options open to them, responded to with comments effectively saying it's girls' and women's jobs to be handmaids and helpmeets for men. I note there was no comment on the father's cooking ability, only the mother's. Sorry, Apronful of Stones, this is not your fault, but I'm unsubscribing.
