One of the big advantages of Sony for me it's that you can use APSC lenses on full frame cameras with full frame mode, so you can crop at your wish (mostly square crop in my case). In video you can crop in post for stabilization. In other brands the camera doesn't allow to shoot APSC lenses in full frame mode (Canon, Nikon, they force APSC mode)

Thanks for video! I have quesrion for you. My question is about lens made for Canon. I have Full Frame camera Lumix S5, but I have bought lens Tamron Canon 16-300 mm. I have read, that this lens is designed for ASP-C sensor cameras. But when I connect this lens, to my camera, nothing happens. I dont find any black corners in the image, does not appear any notification, that camera is switched to ASP-C mode or something. Lens is working the same as Full Frame lens and I don't find any difference. One photographer said to me, that some ASP-C lenses can cover whole censor on FF camera, but not many of them. I just wonder if Luck was on my side and I got ASP- C lens which I can use as FF lens on my FF camera or there is something that I don't know. Thank you.

Hello, I guess the camera switched automatically into APS-C mode, so you don't see any difference. But, I think you have less on your camera sensor, because it does crop at 1.5 or 1.6. daniel

Just keep in mind the reduced resolution which might not be 4K anymore. Daniel
