The cheapest and most effective upgrades for any airsoft gun are better hopup bucking, barrel, and motor. For an APS rifle, any 16tpa motor will make a significant difference in fire rate and trigger response, either flat hop or get a maple leaf bucking, and a Prometheus barrel of the same length as you currently got in your rifle. Most m4 type mags fit. S&T midcap 130rd mags fit in just about any m4 platform.

You'd be better off either getting another OEM G&G gearbox or echo1 gearbox. I personally have had bad experiences with APS gearboxes as their dimensions are different enough to cause a headache in fitment on other brands.

What mm is the nozzle and can you show me a nozzle and a tapper plate that suits to this gearbox correct ?

I no longer have this rifle anymore but Nozzle length should be 21.4mm. A better tappet plate for this would be a Retro Arms V2 tappet plate or Guarder V2 tappet plate. Nozzle, id recommend a Maxx 21.4mm nozzle.

Hi i just recently acquire a noveske gen 4 infidel with the silveredge gear box in it and if i want to upgrade the gear to lower ratio like 13:1 or 16:1 could it possibly be done with different gear rather than aps 18:1 and how you install the magnet on the sector gear thank you

APS actually sells the individual magnets that you can put into the gear itself. Though I would recommend getting an older APS gearbox so you can put a much better ETU in for a 13:1 or 16:1 ratio like the Perun V2 Hybrid or Jefftron Leviathan. Heck, the T238 ETU would be better than the APS etu.

@kennyle539 Its much easier to replace the gearbox shell with the one I sent the link to and use a Perun v2 hybrid. Its a much better and more reliable unit than the OEM.

It looks like it would but I wouldnt recommend it as the APS gearboxes are notorious for cracking even under normal usage. What are you looking to get out of the APS gearbox over The G&G?

@@wyshtechairsoft To be honest, I want to buy the APS / EMG Noveske, but I want to swap the gearbox for a few reasons: I Don't like the original APS gearbox and I can't install the Gate Titan. I have an amazing G&G Wild hog gearbox, complete tune-up, that just works amazingly, I'm just tired of the look of mine G&G. I asked APS if the swap could be possible but they could not answer me, I also asked Evike if they knew about it, and the same story, they don't know. I know the dust cover wouldn't work but that's ok. My only concern is if the pin from Upper and lover and the one from the trigger is fitting and the selector plate could work. Thanks for your time. Not without heavy modification to the gearbox. However, Aztech Innovations makes a Gearbox for APS rifles that can take the Gate Aster.

Yes but a 16 tpa motor would be better in my opinion. That will give you the most efficiency out of this airsoft gun.

I think I have the esliver sdu in mine, I don’t know much about it and want to upgrade it since I’m using it for outdoors. I changed the bucking with a yellow maple leaf, and swapped out the stock m100 spring for an m120. What are your opinions for internal upgrades/ electrical upgrades. I’ve heard upgrades are limited do to the sdu

I just recently worked on one of these esilver edge gearboxes for a local customer. I ended up installing a SHS 18:1 gearset and installed a magnet in the sector gear to make the gear set compatible with the SDU. Then installed a Aztech piston, EPeS POM Piston head, EPeS Nozzle 21mm, Maxx Hopup, SLONG Cylinder head, Maple Leaf MRHOP and a Warhead Brushless motor. These parts made a massive difference in the performance and efficiency. The brushless motor is a MUST as it pulls alot less amperage than the original motor which makes the SDU less likely to burn out which is a common issue with those MOSFETs.

Hey, Homie, I found this awesome channel after my eSilver edge gearbox broke on me after about 6-7 mags worth of ammo throught it and I was REALLY dissapointed as I was not putting it through any stress, and it makes this ear deafening sqealing noise when I pull the trigger. what do you think that could be?

Really sounds like the motor height adjustment is off. Try tightening up the screw on the bottom of the pistol grip 1 full turn. Then test it. Sometimes those screws back off after the rifle has shot alot. One way to fix that is use blue lock tight. If it doesn't get better. The bevel and/or pinion gear is stripped.

Thank you for the kind words! Anyway, They are upgradeable. This one was an older silveredge which the newer ones have a mosfet built into the gearbox. They are mostly marui spec but I wouldnt do a high stress build with them. Their gearboxes are brittle and are prone to cracking. The EMG Calico Jacks are much better in my opinion if you want to get something a bit more reliable.

They are alright in my book. Some people have issues with their gearboxes cracking but I haven't seen the issue myself. This particular rifle is pretty damn nice compared to companies like CYMA.

Its simple but you will need a pair of pliers. Take the top reciever off, a screw holds the mock bolt on, take off the mock bolt, you will see little tabs on the back of it. Take your pliers and bend them back and fourth till the break off. Then file down the residual metal from bending off the tabs. Reinstall mock bolt and you're done.

Yes this is true but to be expected as AOE correction can reduce SOME fps due to chance in air volume ratio. The fps loss that was encountered was very minimal. The AOE correction is well worth the slight fps loss since the piston will now last alot longer without doing this mod. I will say that the components in the esilveredge is subpar. It has horrible compression set which leads to fps inconsistency that effects your accuracy dramatically. In this video there isnt any other way to make it better without putting better components in.
