If you add a figure eight knot to the end of the lashing it helps stop the lashing from slipping beyond the half hitch.

#instantchow lashings work very well, with Dyneema or Spectra. It’s a proven technique for older technology for thousands of years, and is currently the standard way to terminate high tech lines that need to allow for adjustment. You’ll see that technique used for lifelines and even standing rigging made from Dyneema on race boats too.

I would guess the lashing is totally unsecure. Given that dyneema is used in the lashing, the bowline will not be secure and there is probably too few turns on the fixing side of the lashing.. Check out Coligo Marine´s videos on how to make secure dyneema lashings.

The only thing I dont like is the bowline on the lashings, high tech lines slip their knots like crazy. there are specialized knots that could be better. or make sure you frap the lashing many more times to negate that.

Is this company out of business? I can't find their jacklines for sale.
