In question 2 - Answer should be 115 not 115.5, because principle amount is 100 Rs. instead of 110 Rs. if you take principle to be 110 then it becomes compound interest. (in other words, had he not paid back 100 Rs. then he would have paid interest of 20 Rs. at end of 2 years i.e. 10 Rs. for each year. Now since he paid 100 Rs. back, so that will be deducted from principle amount and now he has to just pay 5 Rs. as interest on remaining principle of 100 rs.) - Correct me if I'm wrong and thanks for videos.

+Trav Mari Hi :) Well since they haven't specified the loan period, we need to assume that it is 1 year :) So at the end of the year, his balance will become his new principal :) Although this seems like compounding , it is not :) Its just our understanding. Now had they mentioned that "He takes a loan for 2 years", then the answer would've been 115 :) Because your SI would only come into picture after 2 years. Here, since its not mentioned, we need to assume it as 1 year periods :) Let me know if you didn't get it :)

for 3rd sum...200*5*2/100=20 i.e S.I unit New amnt(amnt to be paid at the end of 2nd yr)=om+20 i.e 200+20=220 he paid rs 100 in his 1st i.e 220-100=120...therefore 120 is the remaining the balance correct me if im wrong :)

+Dikshit shetty Hi Dikshit :) Its a good doubt. But here, since they hav'nt specified the "period" of the loan taken, you cannot jump to any conclusions. When the period is not mentioned, we need to assume it to be 1 year. Hence, the prinicipal and SI for 1 year get added and become the new principal :) Hope you understood :) Let me know if you need any further explanation :)

+Shivam shiv The loan period is not mentioned :) So we need to assumed that it is 1 year :) Hence the new principal for the 2nd year, will become the original principal + SI :)

+Peeyush Singh The answer is correct :) I think you are confused because you think that the SI should be 4 times the Principal :) Since the New Money = Principal + SI, we need the SI to be only 3 times the principal :) So 20% is the right answer. Let me know if you didn't understand.
