I was about to comment the same! I was watching the video (great video Aputure, hats off!) and I had like this feeling behind my head of something not matching but at the same time it was somehow coherent... Then it hit me😂

"Legendary cinematographer Greig Fraser... and also Oren Soffer..." come on give him some credit!
@danielcolmenares560811 ай бұрын
It was the edit! The full line was soon to be legendary cinematographer oren soffer. I love Oren, consider him a good friend and a supremely talented DP. We talked for a little over an hour and the finished piece is only 11 minutes so some things ended up in the cutting room floor. If there is enough demand, maybe we'll release the full conversation 🤷♂

@@danielcolmenares5608 there surely is enough demand for sure. I presume particular reason for not having the full length is time/money? Even 10/15min sneak peak followed by full length via website or something would be great from marketing point of view.

Love this BTS interview! So inspirational! Got the FX3 and some Aputure lights, all I got to do now is filming.

Wow. This is fantastic. Being a user / fan of Aputure lights, I am very happy and impressed that Aputure lights were used on "The Creator". That they filmed it with the Sony FX3 was very impressive. Now, hearing that they thumbed up the Aputure 1200D really brings Aputure into the forefront of Hollywood filmmaking. Congrats, Aputure. This is a huge deal.

This was such an excellent overview! Super cool to see such heavy use of Aputure lights on a feature film. I'd love to see one or two scene breakdowns in a video in a format similar to what Wandering DP does. Or maybe you sponsor one of his breakdowns and have it be an interview.

Wow… the fact that the Sony FX3 was used as a camera on this film had blown me away when I first heard about it, now knowing that Aputure lights where also used is just as impessive since I own some Apurture lights and have been drooling over the 1200d for a while. What an age of filmmaking we live in.

GREIG FRASER is a GOD for the film makers of tomorrow ! He’s the only DOP out there who thinks outside the BOX like this. He’s not into HEAVY, time consuming, labour intensive, super costly Gaffer set up’s. He’s a huge proponent of LED’s. He’s not afraid to think l outside the NORM & SAY. Let’s only use THIS instead of all of THAT.

Great video, I’m a fan of aputure but I think it’s time to accept that other lighting fixtures are used on productions and I know they say you should never advertise a competitor but it’s a little disingenuous to give the impression that only aputure lights were used as I’m read in ASC that they also used Lite Mats and astera tubes. I. The real world people use more than one brand, and for good reasons, be it practical or just because they have legacy lighting and I think it would just good to show how good your lights are at working with others

Sony should bring a stacked 12MP a7Siv next, and even better 2-layer transistor stacked sensor with insane rolling shutter speed down to below 4-3ms, Venice-level.
@robertdouble55910 ай бұрын
or...a global shutter like in the new blah blah 9 stills camera they released a few weeks ago. (I'm not good with model numbers!)
@Bo_Hazem10 ай бұрын
@@robertdouble559 Yup, that's even better with 2-layer transistor and being stacked! But if there is an ISO hit then use an extremely fast rolling shutter for much better ISO performance than the current A7SIII/FX3/FX6/ZV-E1.
