Hi, for question 18 why do you cancel out the zeros and not add them back sorry I’m a bit confused on that

See it like you’re simplifying the fraction by dividing both numerator and denominator by 100.

why did the other two numbers had to be bigger 12 the median i thought it could be anything? Question 8a

Because to find the median the numbers need to be in order so if 12 is the middle number the next two must be bigger as you can’t have another 12 as that would make it the mode too

@za_shorts9055 you want four lots of cereal so that’s 4x 49p and 250g of cereal so treat it as 100g + 100g + 50g so that’s 14p + 14p + 7p

Hello im retaking in november, my question is , will the grade boundaries be the same as the one i sat in 2023 or will it be a whole diffrent grade boundary for the retakes?

They will be different, as the grade boundaries are post determined once all students have sat them. Sorry to say this but the Nov grade boundaries are also higher than June too. Hope this answers your question?! This weekend I’ll be making some foundation videos!

@@162maths if that’s the case I think I’m not passing a 100% , to get a grade 4 it is 157 if it’s higher than that then idk , btw how high do u mean like give an estimate

@a.askin2716 not crazy high or different but a few marks higher.. this is because it’s retakers doing this exam and you’re cleverer so get better marks second time round. Students with lev 1 or 2 often don’t retake so that’s why it’s drags it up

In Nov 2019 it was 162 for a 5 and 134 to get a 4 expect a few marks up maybe?

Sure happy to help see next comment. FYI there is a question breakdown in the description which says which topic each question is based on.

So you need to work out 400g at 49p per 100g so it will cost 4 x 49p (or do 49 +49 +49+49) You then also need to calculate 250g at 14p per 100g so it will be 14p +14p +7p (100g +100g +50g) then add together the two totals.

hello can u please explain how u got p=2r for question 4 please im very confused on that

P = 2x + 4 and it says perimeter is 22cm and call the length AB is x

Because it’s an isosceles triangle it means two sides are the same one of which is AB. We are told that the odd side is 4cm so if we call the same sides x it means the perimeter is 2x + 4. As it says the perimeter is 22cm that means that 2x+4=22 so all you need to do is solve the equation
