Aqua is often pegged as a one-hit wonder in the late 90's, but aside from Barbie Girl, they had some good songs that they released as singles that never got any radio airplay. Songs like "Turn Back Time" which was featured in the movie Sliding Doors starring Gwyneth Paltrow, and there was songs from their 2nd album "AQUARIUS"; songs like "Cartoon Heroes", "We Belong To The Sea" and "Good Guys". The group was more than just that one hit song.

Holy crap. They are in such great shape. To be honest, I love the tone of her voice even more now. I haven't followed Aqua for a long time, despite being a fan. I hope they're still releasing music. There have been some amazing releases recently by other female pop icons who are over 50- Kylie Minogue's Tension, Goldfrapp's latest album, and others. I think they only get better with maturity, and it's amazing to see because it's like the dawning of a new age, wherein people with more talent to share don't have to retire from the limelight just because of the pressures of ageism.

I never thought I'd see Aqua live, and when they went on tour the MOMENT tickets went on sale I bought 2, and my only regret is not getting the Meet and Greet VIP. An amazing show, amazing vibes, and the crowd was so wonderfully eclectic - People from 7 - 70, saw gangsters and rave kids, goths and just regular joes, every spectrum. Just awesome. Not every europop group needs to make a come back, but the Godfather/mother group of Aqua absolutely has deserved this, and I absolutely love this for them.

I've seen them live four times recently (yeah 90s). They put on an amazing show. The fact that Lene is a great vocalist is sometimes lost. The Barbie Song is their most well known and amongst their campiest. Her vocal ability is more easily discernable on other tracks.
