Got a video idea: how about a little history video about how ISUPs improved since they were first introduced, what steps made them better (starting with the manual glueing, then laminating and now 2 chamber boards and whatever changes I missed in their construction) and maybe what is coming for 2021 and the next years, what can still be improved, what has practically reached the limits of the materials we have at the moment.

Hey guys! Great work on your channel! Im 100 kg and i want to sup everywhere (sea,lake, calm water river) and in big distances , over 20km per day. Which would you recommend 1) aqua marina hyper or 2) An Aztron touring board like Urono ? I don't care about the price difference and the lack of paddle in Aqua marina hyper. By the way , I think it would be a great video to put them on a comparison side by side 😛.

Thanks for suggestion and question. We'd recommend looking at 12'6 length so you can get a bit more speed from paddling those distances. They are both quite similar boards, but the Aqua Marina Hyper has a better nose shape for distance paddling, whilst the Aztron range has a nose kick which can push water when paddling. Hope this helps and all the best! Beau

@@SUPboardermag after watching your 2021 test with touring boards , I made my mind on buying the Gladiator 12 6' T . It costs almost the same as the other boards and seems to be stiffer and better over all. What's your opinion? Thank you so much for your response! Keep up the great work 💯

Hello Thanks a lot for this video...planning to get the 11'6 soon I am 75kg ...will there be major difference versus the 12 ?
@SUPboardermag2 жыл бұрын
Just a difference in speed. You'll get a faster and more stable board with the 12'6, but less manoeuvrable. Thanks, Beau

Would it make sense to just sleep on an iSUP? I suppose if the ground will not cause punctures, it would make a nice sleeping pad.

I have done it. You will need to deflate it a bit. The problem is the air in the board can make you feel cold. So needs to be a hot night really. Thanks Reuben

Hi, thank you for the great review! What do you think about the new one 2021? ....pheraps is the color the only difference?
@SUPboardermag3 жыл бұрын
The board shape of the 2021 is better at taking more gear and is much more stable but slower then this board. We did find the older boards stiffer. TBH I think we should be getting the even newer 2022 one soon, so maybe worth waiting to see if they made any more construction changes. But if you find the 2020 at a good price its still a good board. thanks Reuben

Hi, You have great videos, a lot of valuable information. I am 186 cm, 90 kg and I am considering buying Hyper or Race, in size 12'6 ". I like Race more. It will be a good choice or I should buy another board? I plan to ride both the sea and the lakes.
@SUPboardermag3 жыл бұрын
Hi Miroslav, I feel at your weight the Race would work ok on lakes but I feel that in the sea the board may have too much flex to really give you the best performance in the rougher waters. We are just putting together a new video where we compared the 2020 and the 2021 Hyper so look out for that. But Race wise i feel a stiffer board would work better. Make sense? Thanks Reuben

Awesome review, and just in time for me, was thinking on upgrading my aquamarina atlas to the hyper. Want to go little faster and after 1y supping now we found that touring is our thing. Now i know not to upgrade, being a 100kg rider. Maybe that would be an awesome idea to make a video for 100kg riders, what do we need to look at, what boards are suited, mainly for touring 🙏
@SUPboardermag4 жыл бұрын
Hey Tim, Thanks for your comment glad we could help or not lol. Yeah if the board was a little stiffer I would be happy to recommend it for you but with 20kg+ of gear as well feel it wouldn't preform at it best. We have made a note of you video request and think its a great idea that we will try and put together. Thanks Reuben

Can you put a seat on this?
@SUPboardermag3 жыл бұрын
On this board unfortunately you cannot but they have change that for the new 2021 touring boards. So you can put seats on those. We will be reviewing one of these boards in the next month or so :-) thanks Reuben

I have one and I am 107 kg and it works very well . I think your informations is totally wrong. Who paid you to do this video?
@SUPboardermag2 жыл бұрын
Hey Sailor King, thanks for you feedback and comment. Aqua Marina Paid for the video slot. watch video kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYfFf6mPf9Sbadk But of course they have no say or input into the video and what is said on it. Glad you find the board ok at 107 kg and I'm sure some paddlers could use the board 115kg because the board can take their weight. But we always advise rider weight for an average ability rider in average conditions. Many paddles find this board with it narrower tail a bit of a handful over 95kg. Which is one of the reasons why AQ change it to a wide tail now. If you could do a readers review of the board on the post here : supboardermag.com/equipment_guide/aqua-marina-hyper-126-double-chamber-12-6-32-2020-review/ That would be fantastic for other paddlers to read and hear your thoughts on what the board is like for. Many thanks Reuben

I just sold this board. It’s not maneuverable at all. It’s not as stable as other Aqua Marina boards, for example the beast is much more stable. This was surprising since the hyper has the double chamber. I wouldn’t recommend this unless you intend to paddle in flat water with absolutely no wind.
@SUPboardermag4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your feedback Patricia. Yes the Beast will be a much more stable board because of the wider tail and nose. Double chamber in the Hyper won't make a difference at all to the stability only the overall stiffness. Definitely agree with you it works much better in flat flat water. I hope you found the right board for you and you getting on the water lots now? Thanks again for your comments about the board, Reuben
