Aqua Marina Wave 2022 iSUP surf review

Interesting, I like the 2+1, thanks for the review. Right now I use the Decathalon 100x but it's not the best but easy to leave in the car, an option when I don't want to ride my surfboard or if the surf is small. Do you find all iSUPs are "bouncy" when it gets a bit choppy and windy, I get thrown off all the time.

At 4:04, there is a bump at the large fin, looks like the board is damaged.

For small waves - flat use would u go for this board or fanatic stubby air . Keep up the good work

Both have their pros. The Aqua Marina has great glide from the flatter rocker. It surfs quite well too. The Fanatic Stubby Air surfs better, but might be quite wide for flat water paddling. Thanks, beau

Hmm. We haven't tested the deflection of the Itiwit 500 9'. We do have an Aqua Marina Wave we are about to test so keep an eye out for that. Itiwit are a favourite amongst a lot of readers for their performance in the surf. Hopefully have more answers as the iSUP surf test drops soon. Thanks, Beau

For small waves, it would be ok. Just be aware that longer boards in the waves (especially iSUPs) are harder to handle. If you're keen on getting into SUP surfing, a smaller (under 10ft) iSUP would work best. Thanks, Beau

Nice review. It would be my 5th board (2nd isup) as I'm a looking for an inflatable wave-oriented sup. I'm 90 kg, intermediate skill, do you think it it can be a good board on small waves? Can it be an option for an heavy rider even on flat water?

Hi Stefano, this would be a great option as a surfing iSUP for you. It would safely hold your weight and ability level for smaller waves. Try and pump it up to a high PSI for increased stiffness which will add to the performance of the board. You may find it slow when paddling flat water thought. Hope this helps, Beau

Hi how about aqua marina breeze compare wave ,it just more longer and a little bit thicker than wave ,what do you think about that ,is breeze more suit for beginner or not? And is breeze more rocker than wave ,cuz I saw it on picture it is , thanks

The Wave is a board designed specifically for SUP surfing while the Breeze is designed for beginners flat water paddling :)

I found this inflated board looks so nice but I am looking for an SUP board actually, I'm 160cm tall weighted 44kg. Do you think this board is suitable for SUP use?

It might be slightly too short for you to be able to really progress your paddling. You will be able to stand on it, but you might paddle around in circles. Look for a board over 9ft long and around 30" wide that will help.

i am 90KG do U think its impossible to Stand on the Board in waves for me due to the instability, or should i get something bigger. Can you maybe recommend me someting.

If you have some surfing experience, it could be ok for you. But I would suggest something bigger if you are learning or at a beginner level. Maybe a board like the Honu Bondi would be better suited. Hope this helps. Thanks, Beau

I'd say something bigger would be better for use in flat water, but you could still paddle short distances.

If you have some experience the AquaMarina Wave will be more manoeuvrable and easy to turn on the wave. If you want stability, go for the Itiwit 500 9ft. Thanks, Beau
