Actually, here’s something I’ve noticed. See, the reason what autistic people and introverts have difficulty making eye contact is because the human brain is capable of taking in a lot of information about someone just by looking them in their eyes, and that becomes overwhelming for an autistic person or an introvert. As such, focusing on something else on their face (eyebrows, eyelashes, mouth, or, in this case, colored contacts) is a common way for such people to give the illusion of looking others in the eye without actually doing so. (Colored contacts help because, unlike human irises, they don’t really expand and contract the same way, which avoids the problem.)
