My screen cover was tough to get open too. I got it open first try. The second try was harder. I just needed up popping it open with a flathead screwdriver. So far I like mine. I want to change the battery out for a lithium 10 ah. For longer life and shave a bit of weight.

Wow that must be a widespread problem then! Thanks for watching and commenting. I put a Marcum 10ah lithium battery in there and I can get all day usage of it. But everytime when I charge the battery I have to open up the housing. It's a little bit annoying but not too bad.

Jay Siemens has a video about switching batteries and he drilled through the lid. That's my plan too. I have the same battery already. Had it in my 715c.

I just got the 7i Pro today I absolutely had a hard time opening the lid too But I didn't have to take it all apart You just have to get hold of it just right And it takes a fair amount of strength the first couple times to get it open Could most definitely been designed better

@@TTangOutdoors Yea, what I think is there are different ways to do it.There are easy ways like one day or half day competition to make a video or a month long competition to make couple videos to attract viewers to follow along the series. As for competition, we can make it a little more fun than competitive. If you down , we can discuss more through WeChat 😉
