I've got these lights installed on my tank, they are great. I'm so impressed with them, certainly worth the money. My tank is 4ft x 2ft x 1.5ft. Ive got two lights. I've created a video of them in action, its certainly worth a look if your unsure about anything.

I probably would go with the Vega if money was no object. I don't have great reasons to justify the extra $100, just that I like the lower profile and I like the clear lenses that don't blend the light. The Vega gives off really strange glitter line patterns and I actually like it.

Ordered for a new 16-gallon Nuvo from Innovative Marine, arriving on 6/27... time will tell but hopeful of this lights abilities. Have 2Radion g1 on the 150gallon really unimpressed by them over the last year and a half!

Do the white bodied AI lights yellow with time? It looks like the body of the Sol has yellowed.

My first reef back in the 90's was lit buy 4-VHO's and loved the blue spectrum, and now back in the hobby I'm changing to LED's. With this until, does it have enough white ? Thank you much for your non-biased review ! I have subscribed.

I saw in the ia page the description of the hydra, and im curious about the wireless functions, do I need the controller for all the features? Or I can get them with de app "Director" trough my tablet/smartphone?, or these apps work with the "not included" controller... Thanks for the help.

Do u need to buy the controller separate. Or is the light usable streight out of the box

Are the remotes required? I have a RK Elite & NET, that I'd probably prefer to control with it. Any ideas?

Than, I'm setting up a 120g tank and I was looking at the Vega review you did, then I noticed this one...if you were going to set up a new tank and money wasn't a factor, would you do the Hydra or the Vega?

I installed 2 over a 90 on July 16. The white LEDs failed on 1 fixture after ~6 weeks. Also loosing wireless connectivity periodically. Not off to a GREAT START!

Randy, I also have 72" Tank. Let me know how you feel about the coverage. I've seen the other LEDs in action but not the AI Brand. Didn't like the others.

I have the hydra 26 hds , two over my 75 gal. Just fowlr so far but added a rose bta and wonders if you could offer advice on settings ? The bta is in the bottom part of the tank on the rocks and hasn't moved but a few inches yet. I have them on easy set up 0900-1700 w an hr ramp up and down and moonlights till 2200 hrs then dark till 0430 then moonlights again till the ramp up. I have them at : 50% for UV, V, RB & B and 15% for Red and Green and 25% CW Is this ok for him? He seems good but don't want to do too much or too little
