imagine if B.A.P wasn't treated badly by their agency. I'm following kpop since 2009, only 3 groups that I know really have a big influence in hip-hop music in Korea in gen 2 - 3, Bigbang BlockB and B.A.P. I remember very well how crowded B.A.P's concerts were in America, and their fans are mostly grown men because they really like B.A.P's type of music.

BAP ( and BLOCKB) were pioneers of the 3rd gen. BAP was actually super big when they debuted their songs always were on top. But sadly their company stole them money forced them into labour to a point they were touring and doing lives saying please don’t buy neither the albums and don’t come to tours as they were drained and overworked and not paid. They literally had to sue the company but all of this mess kinda stopped them from expanding at some point. Block B had kinda a similar story too, their CEO also stole them lots of money it became a super big issue the CEO ended up killings himself that’s crazy and dark AF, thankfully another company took them but yeah. So I always laugh when people start calling certain groups « the most struggling one » when sadly a lot of small companies groups faces some dark shit. But these 2 groups are literally the roots of 3rd gen and new fans really should educate themselves from where the influences came.
