I have my aunt's copy of this deck from the 70's as well as the original Psychic Tarot book that was published in '85. The book's contents here in your video look identical to what I have in mine except in a smaller, more condensed format, and with colored illustrations. As for the deck, I'm pleased to note that the copyright was removed from the interior border, but I was hoping US Games would also update the deck to be less white and more cream, as the original deck was before US Games picked it up. Also, the font on the minors has slightly changed in your version which is a change I like - it's not as fancified, but a bit more simple while remaining nouveau.

I love the 70s psychedelic vibe... looks like those old rotoscoped cartoons you'd half-remember seeing during the 70s and try to find 50 years later :D 10 days until this deck goes on sale in my territory... can't wait.

I had this deck many years ago, loved the art style but found the faces unexpressive, and passed it on. Looking at it again now I see that it might still be a good reading deck. Maybe we look at old decks differently once we have more experience! That book in itself looks worth the money.

This new release they did increase the shadows so the faces are less ghosty than the 1990s and onwards prints

Awww I love this deck so much! It's the first one I ever got, about 5 years ago and actually the one I learned to read Tarot with! I was instinctively attracted to it from pictures on Google because I was looking for a deck with a 1930s Art Deco style, and the 70s drew heavy inspiration from that decade. It's not always the easiest to read, but once you get the hang of it, it gives completely clear, honest, no-bs kind of advice. I don't see any real difference in the designs of the cards, though they might be a bit bigger and the former cardboard box version didn't come with that behemoth of a guidebook! To me, those cards feel like home 🥰

I've put off getting the Aquarian Tarot because I much prefer David Palladini's New Palladini Tarot. Now I'm glad I waited because this updated guidebook looks AMAZING!! I can't wait to get this edition!

I always loved the artwork in this deck but the uneven border on the back is a bit of a turnoff.

Thanks for the review. I already have the deck, which is a lovely 'ole work horse, still elegant and beautiful. I'll pass on this, the idea of a book/deck set is intriguing, but IMHO U.S. Games should have added more incentive like changing the cards to a borderless format, and at the very least, changed that awful back design. When they released the New Palladini deck years ago, I loved the double serpent lemniscate pattern fashioned after the early release with the single serpent. with the orange back, but I never warmed up the dramatic shift in Palladini's art style for that deck.

The cards look more glossy than original deck, but images still beautiful.

I like the vintage, classical vibe to the deck, and the 70’s style artwork is very cool. It's not a style of artwork I would gravitate too, I like more enchanting storybook style artwork, however I do appreciate the iconic 70’s look to the deck, I think it's cool. I dislike the font on the card titles, it kinda chops and changes thoughout the deck, having large print in some cards, smaller print in other cards and completely different script is some cards too, I found the font on some of the cards such as the fool made it difficult to read. That guidebook though, it looks like a thorough and deep guidebook, it's a chunky monkey of a guidebook. I would get the deck, just for the book alone

Missed opportunity for US Games not to make the backs borderless again imo

I never understood the hype of this deck. To me all the characters look like they run out of steam. A bit lifeless 🤣😇

For me it's the opposite. Those caracters are full of life. I found them so expressive. I will order mine very soon !
