How does it work on surface oil ? Oil will float back onto the surface right ?

the oil will mixed into the water.. not directly float to surface.. to be honest, i’m not using the surface skimmer anymore.. using my black molly fish to clear the oily surface 😅

the skimmer attachment is useless , its not powerful enough to pull the surface from whole tank , mine is 3ftx1.5ft , it only clears maybe in area of 1ft surface. Also not to mention all the surface gunk gets mixed up in water .... Sunsun Jy03 is a much better skimmer though it adds to the bulk... its very efficient

@@submergedSerenity agree! Not using it anymore. My tank is 25cm cube.. not a big issue on the suction power.. my main issue is need to adjust very often since evaportion is high since im using a fan to cool down my tank.

@@espresso9817 for my tank is not suitable to use the long one. If you have a deep tank, it might be useful to use the long skummer tube.

Hi, that's all it's good for. So I plugged up tge skimmer hole and use the small eheim skimmer with shrimp guard. to get oil sleak and debris from plants. I din't leave it in tank. I use as needed.
