Buy some, get one aquarium free? I've got a pretty good idea how cold it gets in Wyoming. I grew up in North Western Colorado, and we used to go to Wyoming (including Sheridan) all the time for stock shows, and for barrel racing when there was a rodeo which included amateur or high school barrel racing. I had a really sweet little cutting horse who could run the course without me. She could cut the fly specks out of a box of pepper, and could dust every one of those barrels clean without slightly wiggling even one. Only thing I had to do was stay on top. But yeh, raced up there, and watched my sister race up there. Also been up there when my dad had bought stock up there and we needed to move them back to our place. That often meant driving three or four stock trucks up and back, and as soon as I was old enough to drive, I got recruited to do some of the driving. Blizzards were a thing both in Colorado and Wyoming, and oh good golly it could get cold when that wind got going. If it was still, it could be 20 degrees out and I wouldn't wear a coat, but if there was wind, I couldn't get enough layers on. Knowing how it is there, I don't have a clue what dark magic you work to get those fish to me happy and cosy. I live in Nebraska now, and it seems a lot like Wyoming and Colorado except without mountains and hills. The wild fish are different than are back home too. There it's more cutthroat trout and a few skulpins swimming around in rocky water with lots of sunshine. Here in Nebraska, it's whatever can survive being frozen in ice for three or four months. Maybe more. Those which don't survive end up making food for the vast numbers of birds which fly through here during the great migration in the springtime. Birds like cranes, geese, and ducks don't have to worry about predators to much, since all the predators have packed themselves on the abundant dead fish, and are just too fat, full, and sleepy to try to take down the herbivorous birds. I've seen bald eagles which were so full that they weren't able to take off until they'd digested it a bit and pooped some of what they ate earlier out. When it comes right down to it, most birds of prey would rather eat something that is already dead than have to kill it themselves. With luck, the fish in my aquarium won't end up anywhere near like that.
