I remember the day after I was born. My mother gave birth to me on the farm at 10pm and the doc. was called away due to 5 people in one family who died due to botulism that evening and didn't notice the issue I had. Turns out I remember looking at my mom and grandma looking at me but I didn't know why. Then I heard my grandma tell my mom that she knew this natural healer and went to see if she was home. We lived in a very small town and everything was within walking distance. I remember grandma bringing the woman into the house and came over to me placed a cup or glass on top of my head and placed an egg in it, then blew into my mouth until the egg popped out, and I don't remember anything else. But it worked, because I'm still here. Last year on my birthday 2-18 that memory wouldn't leave me. A friend was taking me to lunch and though I have asthma, the inhaler didn't help as I couldn't breathe, and I was scared. My friend took me to the hospital where my doc. worked and because it was Sat.he was not there, but I called and they had me come in to get checked out. When the doc. examined me and read my chart said she could not see any physical evidence of being short of breathe. She then said, when that happens, it could be, EMOTIONAL. She no sooner got those words out of her mouth and I started to cry, but I had no idea why. She suggested I talk to my PCP and go from there. I did and had 2 sessions with a therapist and after that 2nd visit, I decided to Google palate. That was when I saw what had happened to me. My mom was not able to breast feed me due to my palate had fallen, called Submucous cleft palate. And it came with a few side effects and I had them all. Loss of hearing in my right ear when I was about 4-5, needed to start wearing glasses soon after. I had a mouth full of teeth growing every way and had numerous sinus and colds, as well as bronchitis and pneumonia. My parents were teachers in a little country school during WWII when I was born and my mom was always worried about my getting sick. I had an older sister 4yrs older and she never liked me around cause she was not center stage anymore. I was self conscious because of my abnormalities and also had a lack of comprehension for my studies., My mom was dealing with her husband who was a drinker and did not stay home. It was very tough in those days. 18 most. later my little sister came along and both sisters were both Aug. Leo's, I being an Aquarian was odd man out. Until almost 8 years ago when I finally had enough of their Leo behavior and cut my losses. I haven't heard from them since. and I feel freedom like I never had before. Short story long! ❤
