Good Morning 🤗that makes perfect sense to me. That's why I'm going to start out small myself. Not just for the scale of it but also for the economics of it. Honestly if it had not been for you I would have given up on doing aquascaping already.( Impossibly expensive for me, especially now) When I was at Aqua shella I'm walking through the crowds,It was astounding how much people were planning or already were spending on aquascaping 😭😬😱 before they even got to the fish! I'm really glad I didn't lose the live chat even while on the road last night. Dad drove and I was able to maintain connection the whole time 😁 Dad drove and I was able to maintain connection the whole time. He knows how much my Wednesday nights means to me 🥰🥰

Like the the aquascape allowing for some swim area for the fish and a good feeding area to boot. I Like the idea for a nano single species that this aquatop pisces 5 gallon with filtration all in one box makes it simple for the most basic user or beginner. However the water parameter has to be monitored more closely than a larger tank so maybe not a beginner but a beginner that is willing to willing do what is necessary to achieve the best quality of life for the inhabitants and desiring getting better results in maintinitve aquarium water quality. This size can be place almost anywhere with no additional purchase of a stand. Making it great for a bedroom or any place within the house or apartment without major structural consideration, just must be able to support about 40 to 45 lb load.

It’s really beautiful! The only thing I don’t care for is that cut end of the spider wood that is visible. I think it takes away from the lush tropical feel. It’s so obviously man-made cut. 😔 But of course that is only my opinion. Good luck Joanna!

All the tanks are very nice plus it's nice to have a little healthy competition 😀 I was down to two and the tie breaker was my loyalty to your channel. My wife has one I pretty much scaped for her with my own ten thumbs, but I want her to scape her own Betta tank and this size is perfect. She suffers from anxiety and aquariums have really helped her. She is excited about doing her first tank.

Got a great plant I’ve wanted for awhile Crinum Calamastrum , it’s in a terracotta pot in my grow out tank. Love the way it looks waving in very low current,it must like it as I’ve only had it just over a week and it was the same height as the sponge filter now it’s about half an inch above the filter. Loaded the pot up with root tabs when it got planted. Why is it whenever you’re cleaning your windows,the streaks are always on the side? We my never know!

@@thesmallscape I might rehome him, as his mate died a while ago. Ordered a Lifeguard 15 tall bookshelf tank to replace my homemade 8.75 x 8.75 x 26 long acrylic tank that's threatening to split out. Supposed to arrive Sat. Already have plenty of fish for it, probably. If you would like him, I can fast him this weekend and mail him Monday. We already have a solid black male betta, 5 glowlights, 5 little red tetras and 3 corys in this tank, and he mostly hides from Mr. FancyPants (betta, he was tuxedo marble when we got him and changed due to well water, going to breed him back to his niece when she finishes growing out.) Paradise fish is named Travis.

Never use such fine sand for plants. The roots need space to move around and such fine sand compacts a lot leaving no room for the roots to grow freely. Always use coarse sand for plants.

We've tried to dispel that myth for a while - we have rooted plants growing in sand of all types and gravel. Have never found it to matter - they seem to grow fine regardless.
