Oh yeah, it is another very balansed carrier in WoWS. Bare in mind this was also my first and only match ever with this ship.
As you can see I was totally struggling to learn it.

i miss the old cvs a lot. they felt a lot like a "team player's vehicle," in the sense that it was your job alone to defend your teammates against air attack. of course, that meant that having a bad cv on your team screwed the entire match, but once you got the hang of fighter barrages and multitasking you were a noticeable and useful shield for your entire team. it always felt a lot more active and meaningful than "fly around and make a couple players uninstall while the rest of your team fights for their life"

Nice and balanced. The Fuso wasn’t supposed to leave spawn in the first place as she won the carrier target lottery ticket. We all know that shooting down planes with AA counts as damage to the carrier just like how hp works on a surface ship.

Its because of matches like this that i quit playing CVs ironically enough... i feel like im babysitting, trying to drag a team to the finish line. It was never 'I could make a play here and clutch the game' like in an artillary ship. It was always a feeling of 'gotta quit what i want to do, to go bail out the scrubs, again...' Id rather win a third of the time, and enjoy the game, than win two thirds playing them again.

It's important as a carrier to focus on your own game and _nothing_ else. Don't overly stress about carrying your profoundly unintelligent surface ship teammates or sinking important ships. Instead try to maximize the number of drops you get in a game, the number of permafires or permafloods you stack on their ships, poking the enemy carrier, etc.

U were playing them for the wrong reasons. Its not about winning or being useful to the team its about ruining someone else's day like that Fuso. CV mains are by nature evil.

@@Volkaer the problem is the rest of the playerbase will suffer cause WG wants to keep CVS as a percentage of ships played; doesn't matter whether they're fun to play or not. If people aren't playing them, they'll just make the next carrier even stronger to convince people to come back.

Aquila is just one of those CVs. Terribly overpowered when top tiered, but worthless when bottom tiered. Even at the end of this game he was deplaned.

Nothing to do with damage.... CV's can just run all over the map and you can do nothing about them. For WG $$$ > FUN.

Yeah, probably never top tier? Jeeze. learn to play. Funny how always BB players are whining and get changes implemented to make mediocre BB play ok. If your AA is poor, stick to good AA ships, CV's cannot du much then. Flambass knows this, but he thrives on Flamuu tactics of being super negative and playing the fool, which he is not..

I like the part near the end where the dude pings your location and the enemy ship you were already attacking, this happens so damn much when im playing CV's where people try and backseat game when theyre already dead thinking they even remotely have an idea of how you can play a carrier or in the worst cases like this thinking youre not doing anything because they just havent been paying attention to the map to see that you are in fact doing things.

if you hit cruisers broadside with the rocket planes sometimes you can one shot them full health or huge chunks of there health but you will want to use the rockets for cruisers and dd only and always send one attack group back to cv to conserve the rocket planes

CVs should have Radar-type spotting on ships where they target has to be spotted for 3+ seconds for the team to see them.... and JETS should ONLY SPOT FOR THE CV Plus I wish fighters could protect ships and not just be an aimless circle on the map to "avoid" for 40seconds :/

WG have made CV and sub gameplay such cancer, these are the game that i turn wows off and it takes me weeks to turn it back on.

Meh, I said it before and will say it again - subs are actually fine as they are easily counterable, and have to take a considerable amount of risk to do anything. I'd rather play in games with 3 enemy subs any and all days of the week, than a single CV.

@@Volkaerdude, when they blast a BB full hp by spawning at 2 km then dive, lost only half their HP to do it again, I don’t call this balanced. Moreover, what is the point with yolo a surface ship, blasting it and dying (in the case it dies)? It’s not fun for the surface ship player, it’s not that useful for your team. Just watch the clip of flamu on the I-56 that he posted recently and come back to justify me that subs are well balanced…

People complain about CV's, but if you played like you are supposed to and stuck close to ships with high AA, the CV loses. But, people will cry cause they don't understand warship tactics and wargaming will make CV's weaker.

I know that, but going for a ship like that is not cool and ethical. It pains me when I watch it no matter who does it. he could have gone for someone else just to let that guy play a bit. If you have not been subjected to this kind of CV players i am happy for you. Having ethics no matter what is more important. I wouldn't have done that ,although I don't play CVs cause they can do what flambass did in this replay. It is not ok no matter what. I know WG is to blame for that, but nobody should ruin the game for one individual like that @@eiresby2344

Problem with most player they do not play cv so they are bad at the playing there bb ships when being attacked by cv s. If players played cv they would know how to half the damage. turn into your attacks use Aa better. you and some of the best players out last other because of your Exp playing with cv compared to people that never learn them so its the BB players fault for not learning how to combat them ! AKA a cure for cancer is to be the cancer know how it works.

@@Brettcroese I think you're right but it's a close call. The Aquila has weak planes and not a lot of them so striking ships w/o AA early in the game is sort of necessary.

I have no trouble with Fuso vs 2 CV's, stick with other AA ships, problem solved. Stick by yourself you're asking for it. Probably you complain that you cannot always sail broadside and get dev struck by most other BB's. Come on, love to hear people complain about CV's that knows nothing. T8 vs T6 is a good match for the CV. Now play Aquila in a T10 match and still own the T10 BBs. Please, until then, be quiet and whine in peace.

@@Posilepton I prefer having some moral standards. If an action that could benefit me is highly detrimental to someone else, I'll try to find an alternative. I'd rather have less if it means I avoid causing great grief to other people. Flam could have done many other effective things without ruining someone's fun, but he chose singling out that player and preventing him from playing entirely. He chose to do it, he consciously and deliberatly used his free will to do that. Yet he complains about it. THAT is illogical. Sociopaths and bureaucrats don't care about any of that. Personal gains and efficiency go above morals and people's well being. Are you one of those, perchance?

@@thegreenfather1978 apparently other people have said that aquila has weak planes so targetting fuso which has weak aa is good/best play. now why do people have to care about others well being in a game? in a competitive game like this, people play with the intent to win. who would play games to lose? are you also the type of player in a venezia and choose to shoot a bb 15km away instead of a dd 7km away because it would be "highly detrimental to someone else"?
