That pancakes and syrup shit (xanax and syrup) was everywhere in Philly since way back, and it still is. You wanna read about some real gangster shit, look up Philadelphias Black Mafia, and I'm not talking about JBM, they weren't around until the 80s, Aaron Jones and them dudes were definitely a force to be reckoned with in Philly during their reign, but I'm talking about Sam Christian, Ron Harvey and them guys. There's a book called Black Brothers Inc. about them guys, and they were the real fuckin deal! Gangsters in other cities were TERRIFIED of them dudes! I'm talking Kingpins all across America, wanted NO PARTS of what these Philly guys were doing, believe that! A lot of criminal organizations kill their rivals, but most of them don't behead people, and put the head on s spike outside of a bar that other gangsters frequent to send them a message, but the Black Mafia did just that! These guys were like something out of a Horror movie! Philly always has been, and always will be a dangerous City, with a style all its own. Its indescribable, you'd have to be from here or spend some time here to understand that. But if you choose to visit......do so carefully, stick to the tourist attractions, go see the Liberty Bell, and the Constitution and all that good stuff, just don't go wandering off away from Center City.
