#FACT!
@johnphillips2224 жыл бұрын
The logical approach and tests were great. The explanations were great. Many AR brands have a matte finish in the magazine well, and the PTFE coated lowers are now rare. That is an aggravating factor, especially when the magazine isn't inserted straight. Another aggravating factor is a dynamic insertion that adds additional force requirements to seat the magazine, and the dwell time is minimal. Those aggravating factors reduce the margin, compared to the perfect techniques in this video. The logical approach, test data, and explanation style was the best. Thank you.

I cant believe this even a thing. Do people not even do maintenance and due dilegence on their equipment? Same goes with magwells, some mags wont drop free, but nobody can tell you that unless you try it with your gun and mags. Also, just because it works on that lower and magazine switch uppers and test again, fitment and tolerances of upper and lower fitment make a difference as well. Again, gotta do your due diligence and test yourself, nobody can tell you. Gotta do the work!

Super helpful explanation thank you very much. At the range today working with my new Smith and Wesson M&P Ar15 I noticed that I had too much tension running gen 3 pmag’s with 30 rounds. Your demo on how to check the tolerance was exactly what I needed. The very first round I went to chamber didn’t seat right, and when I went to clear it somehow the second I pulled the charging handle back again I then got a double feed that was so bad it took me at least another 45 seconds to clear it. Had I needed my rifle hot and ready instantly I would have been in big trouble.
@WildWhetstones2 жыл бұрын
Shameless double post - 28 rounds seems to be the way to go with my gen 2/ gen 3 p mags, passed the two finger seating test. I thought 29 would do the trick but it still took a lot of force. 28 however seats perfect and feeds easily, I just practiced and downloaded all the mags I had set up In my plate carrier. They were all loaded to 30!!! I had no idea how badly this could mess me up. Next time I go to the range or if for some reason I have to grab my rifle for another less than desirable occasion I now feel 100% confident that my gun will function and not instantly jam / fail to seat on a tac reload.

Instead of downloading and you want to run 30 in every mag you have you can pull apart the mag and squish a peice or two at the bottom of the spring and give yourself a little less tension to add that room for the mags that don't seat on 30.🤘

Good information. Because of my wife's inability to ram fully loaded mags into her weapon consistently I started only loading 28 rounds to assure a positive reload. I hate leaving 2 rounds out but 28 rounds in the rifle beats 30 roun.ds on the dirt 100% of the time

Shot placement is king. Center punching someone through the ventricles of their heart with 115grain ball is better than punching a lung with 147HST. Self control to deliver precision accuracy on demand beyond "upper center of mass" gives a higher probability of rapid incapacitation (usually resulting in unconsciousness, followed by death).

I noticed they always have less trouble with the ak cuz of the mag snap ar issue! The ak mags aren’t falling out! It’s weird how ppl say the ar mag system is better but is it always for everyone?
