Generally speaking, anytime you buy a pressure washer, you should never adjust the pressure. Instead you should adjust your spray pattern by choosing a different nozzle, or accessory. That said, If a new pump is purchased for a unit you own, most replacement pumps are not adjusted before they are shipped. These pumps should be adjusted by a servicing dealer, using a pressure gauge and tachometer to ensure the pressure, flow, and RPM of the engine are all set for the most efficient and effective performance on each machine.

i have a campbell hausfeld pw2002, 6 hp briggs, starts fine runs fine with water hooked up, squeeze the trigger and motor loads up hard (it will stall engine if engades fast) but will keep spraying, but not as hard as it should, It has a new AR RMW 2.2 g24EZ pump on it, im not sure if its the carb or if it is sucking air in thru the quick copplers on garden hose. And ideas, engine bogs hard when trigger is pulled, runs fine when trigger is released. thank you.

Sounds like this could be an unloader issue. If the unloader is improperly adjusted, and the pump is trying to push too much pressure, it will stall or make the engine run hard. I would try dialing back the unloader. If this does not help. Checking the valves would be my next step. If the water cannot move freely throughout the system due to stuck valves, that could cause the engine to work harder, bogging it down.

I have a AR SJV3G27-1, 7.25hp Briggs, the engine starts and runs fine but water flow is completely blocked. I have the garden hose attached and open all the way, the discharge high pressure hose had no flow through the handle so I disconnected it from the pump and no water flow going through the pump either. I did disassemble and look at the valves. The 1 of the 3 smaller valves appeared to be wedged down in there and I tore it up trying to get it out. One of the others had a spring that was sideways. Both of those could be issues but I took apart the unloader and although its not moving super smooth it does open and close when you press on it. I honestly think something is wrong with the end that you screw the high pressure hose to. I don't see any place where water can exit. it looks like a long cone type opening but I don't see a hole anywhere for water to exit. I think I might need to order that part that screws into the pump with the little spring and float pin for lack of a better description. It is missing the rubber O-ring on the tip of the float pin though. Any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated and let me know if you sell those parts that I might need. Thanks in advance.

I also wanted to add that I hooked the broken down unit (all valves removed, caps, etc.) up to my water spigot and wasn't able to get water to exit the high pressure hose side until I removed the entire piece that also has the float pin and spring. Then water would exit. If I screwed the high pressure hose fitting back on, no water would exit. Do you guys sell this part and how much is it if you do?

I have one of the black die cast body AR pumps, either an RC or RK I believe. My question is...at the sight glass window where you see the oil level, there’s a yellow cog wheel looking thing inside..is that suppose to spin when the pump is on, I never see mine spin. Thanks
@vortexxpressurewashers78615 жыл бұрын
This disc will not move during operation. It is there to give a light backdrop so you can view the oil level more easily.

On the annovi Reverberi 4000 psi pump, should the thermal valve be on the low pressure side, on the bottom half of the pump? I ordered a new one and it is on the high side and it blew as soon as i squeezed the trigger. It blew it apart, not just released pressure.
@vortexxpressurewashers78614 жыл бұрын
The thermal relief valve should be installed on the low pressure (bottom) end of your pump.

So when you buy a pump, is it necessary to adjust the unloader? or can you just leave it alone and it will be ok?

Anyway possible i could get my hands on that Technical Training Manual for us guys at my work, i would so much appreciate it. I can give you my email if you need it. Thanks in advance and also for the video.

I have an 4000psi AR RRV on a 14hp engine. When the trigger on the wand is off, every few seconds, there's a burst of pressure and the whole outlet hose stiffens. Any thoughts?
@vortexxpressurewashers7861 Жыл бұрын
Generally, when you see pressure fluctuations, it is due to debri in the valves, bad unloader, or an insufficient supply of water to the machine. If you pull the trigger, what does the unloader do? It should "shift" when the trigger is pulled, and again when the trigger is released. If the unloader is pulsating along with the pressure while you spray, it is likely the unloader or vavles. If a video of the issue can be provided, we could better assess since it is not unusual for a discharge hose to stiffen up under load.
