I forgot how freaking scarily compact the New Testament of Pastalie diakect is... That said, both hearing Cocona sing and how that one song helped saved the world is a great shout out to the series as a whole. It really helped tie the three games together since much of the backround, or overarching plot, really flowed from the 1st to the 3rd game, especially with 2 onwa4ds. Cocona being there with the Heart of Gaea for instance, Laude's daughter...

Should've been Mir tho, she pretty much schemed the whole thing yet had to sit it out cheerleading from far far away in the 3rd game. I mean, they did feel more than willing to bend the plot in order to make the girls strip mid-combat, so why not?

@redVanillaw completely revamped the combat system so it was closer to the tales of series but without the depth, also incredibly horny and while the first 2 had some tact with its jokes the third one had people stripping down to nothing every fight and it got tiresome.

I agree the third game is the black sheep but if u can get past the fight scenes the story is good. If u can get ur hands on a ps2 n play the first and second you'll want to see where the story is going then u play Ar no surge wich is the prolog to the whole series. Trust its so worth it there truly is no other rpg like this out there.

Doing fine in Metafalica, as for Croix, he's either there too or living in Sol Ciel with Mir, depending on which end you prefer to believe in as canon.

I tend to see it as Mir staying in Metafalica and helping around there so she can have an excuse to stay away from Sol Ciel. Well, and Frelia can use the help, all things considered. ATII is the only game where one of the origins doesn't take an active role, due to events 400 years previously. As for Croix, take your pick. He's one of the few humans who has good relations with conventional Reyvateils and IPDs. Considering that one of the latter is his adopted sister, and his girlfriend/lover is either an Alpha Reyvateil (Mir), or one of the maidens, both maidens, or all of the above, that says something. Cocona is a fun character, largely because she is an inversion of what Reyvateils are supposed to be due to her willingness to get up close and personal in a fight.

She's not doing anything like that, as the program is already compiled beforehand. The only thing the address declaration at the beginning of the song does is specify where in the tridimensional space Kaira is located for the sending of the energy.

Comparing the character profiles of both Cocona and Sasha in both AT2 (Sasha was 10 while Cocona 11) and AT3 (Sasha is 15 while Cocona is 16), wouldn't that mean that it takes place 5 years after the second game? Though I can see how you cofused it for 6 years since Tatsumi's profile shows he is 17 while Cocona's says 16.

Not really, as they have a H-Wave component and thus have proper Wills, while true robots like the Guardians and Maintenance Droids don't have that and only act according to their programming, as the games establish very clear differences between Reyvateils and robots. Also, neither Frelia nor Shurelia are capable of reproducing.

I mean, Cocona is an IPD, so her song server is Infel Phira. Infel Phira doesn't have an Origin (goddess) managing it since it's more of a distributed server than the tower song servers. I guess you could make the argument that Cloche is the closest thing to an Origin that Infel Phira has, but it's an imperfect comparison.

The tower in the second game is actually the Sol Marta Relay, which acts as a way for the first tower Ar Tonelico to reach more of the world. Infel Phira is a secondary server set up near the sol marta relay to assist with the Metafalica project. you can tell if a hymn is using a normal song server (Ar Tonelico, Sol Marta, or Harvestasha) if the title starts with Exec_, and if it's using the Infel Phira server if the title starts with Method_. The Exa Pico Wiki has all the information you could want on all this stuff.

Pastalia is actually on top of what was to become the second Tower. The Rim is actually one of the drafting tools that Frelia was using to build it, but she had to stop because the Grathnode Inferia happened over at the First Tower. Offhand, I would personally consider Cloche to be Infel Phira's Administrator. Sure, she's not an Origin, but was the only one capable of forcing IP to change Modes before Metafalica was created.

Actually, it would be a pretty apt comparison: the only IPD that can carry out administrative tasks such as the Mode Shifts is the Maiden of Mio, and since that requires having a Lv. 9 IPD and forcing her to undergo the Queen Registry process (which will kill off the Reyvateil if it fails), it's not exactly a case of false equivalency.

((Spoiler)) Okay, Mir had to bloody hack the system to use her songs in AT2... I want to know where they got this B.S. idea that an I.P.D. can crank her songs from that far. Furthermore it looked like it was Replakia that was sent over... AFTER Metafalica was existing through Infel Pira... x_X It's the only storyline B.S. moments I have with the series. Other than that, awesome game.
