Yes it was, when he said hello at first I was expecting a dog walking Kevin accusing me of scaring his dog so was pleasantly surprised. I have had my share of Kevins and Karens in my time.

@@bluefish3607 Cleethorpes, HELL YEAH. 1990, my first car, a MG Metro. Me & a mate used to drive over regular on a Sunday to play the arcades video games for a few hours, a pint, a couple of games of pool, then a bag of chips and drive back to Doncaster after the pubs shut at 10-30. Fond memories.

@@blackbirdboy1 Yup I also have fond memories of driving my VW Beetle down the seafront windows down music blaring shades on being cool as f*** 😎 So that is the pier I flew to just by the arcades. Been watching some of your vids and have subbed to keep up with your adventures. Love the flying spot with the lake and the concrete airstrip. Would be great to hook up and do a flight together.

I like flying fast and slow, but that day I enjoyed some fast low level and some higher altitude cruising. I personally love 80mph sub 10 metre altitude beach flying it makes me feel alive, but each to their own 😀

Don't rub it in Nick been freezing my balls off here :-) I absolutely love HD is has tranbsformed the hobby for me. I am just going out top try my Xmas present, DJI Goggles 2 and O3 air unit. Video off the experience will be up soon. I think another trip to Spain will be required before we reach the UK Spring.

If I ever have any doubts I can just hit return to home and the plane will circle safely overhead while I remove the goggles and assess the situation. That is one of the great features of iNav.

Glen went to fly on a beach and didn't scare a dog during launch - already success 😜 What a wonderful spot!! The low passes over the sandy bits are stunning!!! Love it! Is the video just what GoPro is producing or do you do any post stabilization? Brilliantly smooth!!!

I did wait until nobody was too close before launching this time tbh after the last lady nearly had heart failure. 😀 The GoPro Hero 6 footage is stabilised with Reelsteady 2 which is now part of the GoPro app. The DVR OSD clips show the raw unstabilised footage. I just think personally the stabilised footage is more enjoyable to watch.

could you describe the video stabilisation process ? it's quite impressive, we used to put 400gr mechanical stabilizers for half the result 🤣

I use a GoPro Hero 6 with version 1.6 firmware and then stabilise with either Reelsteady Go or Gyroflow, they both give similar results.

Hi, I am using a GoPro Hero 6 Black on firmware 1.6 with no stabilisation on the camera. I use the GoPro app with Reelsteady built in to stabilise the footage before editing and uploading to KZbin.

Yes when he said hello mate I held my breath for “you cant fly that thing here” but on this occasion it was a pleasant encounter. I did have one extrema lady once that said she would get her husband to come and sort me out if I didn’t stop spying on her. 😀

It is Cleethorpes beach in North East Lincolnshire you can put the OSD GPS coordinates into Google maps to find it. I met some lovely people that day tbh and had a few pleasant interactions

Really lovely video, please do more of these narrated flights! Also looking forward to your mini drak build, you might consider making it a twin tractor as the pusher version is extremely loud and will attract Karens from miles around

I already have the powertrain for the Mini Drak I am building. Its a Baddass motor on 6S with a 7x6 prop which will be pretty loud I think so I will fly that one only on farmland I have permission to fly on where no Karens can complain. I have just ordered another MD with extended wings which I will run on 4S and 9x5 prop which will be much quieter for cinematic flying. I enjoy doing the narrated flights and will definitely do more.

Its a pretty heavy setup but I have not stalled it yet but come close a few times. I do tend to fly it with plenty of throttle so the passes overhead are usually pretty loud. I do really enjoy flying this wing, it never fails to put a smile on my face 😁
