Easy answer. 850 estate with all the upgrades, and the dog gets the back half with the rear seats folded down, that 5 cyl turbo whistle and the dog sprawled out in the back, everyone safe in the knowledge that if you hit anything you had two tons of pure Swedish steel all around you. THe only thing sturdier is a farmer's Land Rover, which is my other pick for this challenge because c'mon. Dog dad. Farmer. It's natural.
