Every Henry lever gun I've shot has had a nice smooth action. On a plus side , kudos to Henry for offering rifles like this. On the negative side , it shoes how far we've fallen as a nation with our 2A rights.

have you never looked at a Browning BLR before? rack and pinion lever with rotating locking bolt been done since the 60s by Browning, then the second gun is based on the Winchester model 88 . its not a totally new idea stop acting like it is. i do want that supreme i tell savage on there fb that i wanted a 99 that took ar mags this would be the next best thing

The Long Ranger is a BLR derivative. You’re right on that, but the Lever Action Supreme is its own mechanism not based on the Winchester model 88, not based on the BLR, not based on anything ever done before . The Winchester model 88 has camming slot surfaces on the linkages and the linkages function differently. The Lever Action Supreme’s linkage mechanism has only pivot joints so the mechanism is actually significantly smoother than the model 88. The Bond Arms lever gun is based on the 88 if you’re looking for a model 88 derivative.

@@Perry2186Fair enough. The supreme is not the first lever action to take Spitzer bullets. The Supreme is more accurate than any other lever gun I’ve shot and I’ve shot a TON of lever guns. It has a better trigger than any lever gun I’ve ever shot, and it has better ergos than any other lever gun I’ve seen. Additionally it is simpler to field strip for cleaning than any lever action (two punch pins and it all comes out as one unit). It also has better sights (I wish they’d show the sight picture). Trust me, I agree more again anyone that there are a lot of guns that aren’t particularly innovative. This gun is one of the few that actually new features and mechanisms making it legitimately better than its predecessors.

@HenryUSA Y'all definitely need to make an 18" .400 Legend Supreme! It would be more than capable of taking most N. American big game inside 300yd. You can even launch some heavy subs for fun at the range. I've got a 240gr. .40cal bullet mold that would be perfect for it. Thanks for thinking of those in "limited" freedom states (WA here).

Very impressive lever actions. This out of the box engineering gives me hope that there will be a smooth cycling RIMLESS 10mm lever action soon! And hopefully it pairs with my XDM-Elite 10mm… make it a 14" threaded barrel to pin/weld a muzzle break or suppressor to… 14" nearly maxes out velocity in 10mm and keeps it short, handy, quick, light- quick response- as a lever action should be. And the break or suppressor easily turns 14" into 16" to avoid SBR regs.

The Supreme sounds great. A different video said the bolt is a Mil Spec AR bolt, wonder if that's accurate? Smart idea using a tang safety too. People in communist states have got to be really excited. Henry is already one of my favorite firearm manufacturers but they are really impressing lately. 👍

I don't personally have any need for one because I have semiauto 5.56s, but if I lived in a restrictive state, this would be high on my list of options.

Hate citing Garand thumb, buuuuut in his frozen shotgun test the pump shotguns were the 1st to fail, the top 3 performers were semi auto. I know lever action isn't the same as a pump but it is still a manual cycling of the action, and they didn't perform as most expected.

@@___RC___ I'm in Oregon, not a traditionally polar state. But 2 weeks ago we much like the rest of the country had an ice storm. Here where I am in Eugene, it was coming down as frozen rain, it somewhat liquid when it hit my windshield, and was frozen solid by the time the windshield wipers got to it. I'm a delivery driver, and I worked all through the storm, and this freezing on impact wasn't a single occurrence. So one could reasonably belive that if you were in some sort of armed conflict (where both parties failed to agree on a heated indoor arena) then freezing rain could very well be an issue on your firearms. Its better to be prepared for all scenarios no matter how unlikely. I carry a pistol EVERY DAY, despite the fact that I've NEVER had to use one (in a deffensive encounter) and likely never will. And bear in mind that there are states that see this weather/freezing rain Condit far more frequently then western Oregon (Alaska, Maine, Idaho, Montana, etc...) If it makes you feel any better they also run mud and sand tests which is a very common thing we deal with in Oregon. So yeah watching tests to see how "worst case scenarios" may play out doesn't seem like a waste of time at all to me. Plus their entertaining, so you do you boomer, and I'll keep being awesome 😎

I own a Pre-Remington Pre-Ruger Marlin 1895 in 45-70 but today everyone wants far too much for one. Nothing about a lever again any lever gun is $1000 to $2000 worth of gun. Now that they are companies want to get in on the game. I will recomend a lever gun at that price point to anyone. Anyone retailing a lever gun at that price point is finiacaly taking advantage of people and gouging their wallets. That is the magic number today and I am out at that price point and I canhonestly hope these companies fail terrible and that people just say no. What used to be a $450 rifle is not a $1200 to $2500 rifle. That is simply too much of a price increase.

I wouldn't trust anything made of metal at a $450 price point. Maybe in 1953, but a gun made in the US is hard to find for less than $500, even if it's made primarily of plastic. Henry's guns are made in the USA, so you have to take that into account. There are Italian guns that are a bit cheaper. Many of the henry guns do retail under $1k, but these more modern designs are going to cost more lever gun or not.

The Browning BLR introduced in the early 70s and improved in 1981 is a far more advanced design and is currently made up to 7 mm mag and 300 win mag and 300 WSM on factory rifles as well as takedown versions in 375 and 416 Ruger( equivalent to 416 Rigby) in custom versions. And it costs less. I love Henry, but the Long Ranger is nowhere near a BLR in capabilities.
