They're usefull, but I'd rather have those useless magic blue crystals to be put at use in either refreshing resin ( instead of wasting it) or upgrade artifacts. It's never gonna happen of course, but would be a nice option. :)

On parasocial relationships: I think in a lot of ways, streaming is something that thrives on the concept of both the streamer and the audience being attached to each other! I am also so happy you took the time to talk about your side of this experience because it really provides even us as your viewers with perspective!! But i would suggest creating a bubble space in your mind where you describe your viewers as a comfort space rather than friends- like people at work who make you feel comfortable and you know things about them but they're not really your friend kind of way I guess? i might be very wrong but I do this with acquaintances and it really helps me :D

Aquaintances sound definitely like how streamers and their audiences are. It isnt as endearing as if you are the streamer’s closest friend but it isnt like you’ve never met them like a stranger. I do hope the streamers are comfortable with their audience since i sometimes delve in the stream and youtube

Yeah I think having a different label for them would put the mind at ease. Atsu can reflect deeply on what the word "friends" mean to him, what standards qualify someone to be his friend, and finally find what makes the viewers different or what disqualifies them from being a "friend". I'm sure there are some differences because he himself feels that they are "like" friends but not friends. For example, a friend is whom I feel comfortable sharing some important aspects of my life with and I expect them to share some of theirs back, because otherwise they're not friends, they're an emotion dumpster. We might not have to know each other very well because I only expect that from a close or best friend, but they have to stay around long enough and we get in touch once every month or something

The most important things to have with parasocial relationships is self-awareness and boundaries. If you have those, I don't think parasocial relationships are a big deal. Also Atsu, I've found you're quite different to other streamers in that you do seem to genuinely know the people in your community so I feel there's less of a parasocial thing going on. Usually with other streamers it's completely one-sided. I appreciate that you acknowledge your side in the parasocial relationship. A lot of streamers/CCs blame their viewers alone and refuse to acknowledge their part in fostering such a relationship. As a viewer we spend hours with a streamer as they play games in their room and share parts of their life with us. Of course we're going to feel like we know you.

on parasocial relationships: the power dynamic can certainly be awkward to navigate around esp during face-to-face interactions between the streamer and the fans. but personally, i think it's a good natural way to set boundaries with people who are essentially strangers with commonalities. eventually, when we interact more (streamer-to-fan or fan-to-fan) those boundaries can naturally dissipate as we build a more meaningful relationship beyond being a streamer or being a fan. and picking up on online mannerisms/vibe and matching it to real life is not as awkward or weird as you think! i think it's natural to do so because ppl do the same in real life anyway. what matters most is that you (and other ppl you meet) have fun and genuinely enjoy each other's company no matter how fleeting it is. those memories are much more important to notice :D

So I feel like so long as you still treat the friend-fans like people, things will flow normally. The weird thing is that streamers are like a mix of celebrity normal person, so there is a level of familiarity and comfort for us lowly plebs when meeting you, but the barrier only exists if you make it exist. If you want to be friends with followers, just don't solely view them that way. If you don't, then continue to draw the line. If you want to meet new streamers to collab with, you don't necessarily imagine them as friends, maybe "coworkers" at first. As you get to know them, you might find them becoming closer to friend. I think it's fine to treat friendships with friend-fans this way. There is a slight distance in the beginning because you don't -actually- know each other, but it's able to be closed because you can get to know each other in different contexts. Also, really loving the editing on the recent videos, they always bring a smile to my face which is greatly appreciated ♥︎

I'm just starting the real artifact grind where i have decent arts and i need at least 3 or 4 rolls into crit to even consider changing anything i'm grinding for, which means i tend to cap out and roll the strongbox as well. the thing my man here needs to remember is that hp/def scaling units are so much easier to build for that you don't really need to save all their crap. save 1 or 2 pieces that fit that bill and move on. odds are you will get more over time, and the odds of them rolling favorably into those stats is also higher, so keeping an ass ton of arts for every conceivable build type in the future is a little silly. just keep the rare ones and reroll the rest till you get what you need now.

With the parasocial relationship thing is super complicated and depends person to person. As I whole tho the best advice is just respecting each other and mutually understanding where both parties are. Some fans might be more open and talk to you as a friend and ofc you need to set where you are with that and explain more how you feel about that and from the other side if someone doesn't have your same mindset as you see them as a viewer you understanding that. Theres no universal way to do it but its more just talking to the people and understanding where each other are. Thats just my 2 cents tho so uhh... yea ~sy out

Interesting topic about feeling friends people that are not actually friends. The internet conundrum that "shortens" some distances and alters the perceptions of relationships, to a degree. On my experience i'd suggest to keep the proverbial "arm length" at all times. Being friendly doesn't make people friends. Best of luck on this area, there's no handbook and is unfortunately a trial and error process. Ps: if we had a DEF+HP scaling character that will be the day that finally domains give us ATK artifacts.

my hoarding tendencies actually came in handy with the em rework-- i knew em was the rarest stat, so i kept all my em pieces, and so when kazuha was released i had a set ready to go from xiao farming (ironically, i never got pieces for xiao when farming for him, he has insane artifacts now but they were all from farming eosf/bosses/for a second em vv set) unfortunately that now means i struggle to get rid of anything other than flat stats. but on top of that i am super super picky and only want near perfect artifacts at this point. my inventory is a mess
